Fantastic and gifted orthopedic surgeon! You are in great hands, with Dr Salamon as your orthopedic surgeon. I was the victim of a high-impact, high-speed motor vehicle crash in April 2004, and had to be rushed to St Mary Mercy Hospital Livonia by ambulance, with multiple broken bones, including a severely fractured femur (multiple displaced, comminuted fractures of the right femoral shaft). Dr Salamon met me in the ED, and his calm, pleasant, knowledgeable bedside manner was very reassuring at a time of high stress and severe pain. He promptly boarded me for emergency surgery to repair the fractures, and his skill and precision were evident as he embarked on a several-hour-long operation to repair the traumatic fractures. The healing process was long and incredibly painful, but this was due to the injuries I sustained in the crash, and nothing Dr Salamon could have done to help that fact. He did his best to adequately manage my pain, and eventually referred me to a pain mgmt… specialist after the initial 6-week healing period, to further manage any pain I was having. Thanks to Dr Salamon, my leg healed beautifully, with very minimal scarring, that is nearly nonexistent today, all these years later. Thanks to Dr Salamon’s precision and skill, my fractures healed up beautifully, with virtually ZERO limb length discrepancies (which are seen rather commonly with these types of traumatic fractures). Thanks to Dr Salamon’s incredible skill as a surgeon, I walk with no limp, with virtually zero evidence I’d ever endured such trauma. Thanks to him, I was able to continue on in my dream of achieving my BSN, and have had the opportunity to give back to others undergoing similar traumas in the community, in my professional role as a bachelors-prepared registered nurse. Had fate not landed me in the healing hands of Dr Robert Salamon, the day of my car crash back in 2004, I can’t be certain I would have ever had that immensely rewarding opportunity. FIVE STARS++++

Dr Robert S. salamon is a kind and knowledgeable doctor when it comes to treating patients. He takes his time to find out what your issue is and tries to help whenever he can by recommending things that can be done to help your issue and tries to give you some kind of relief and advises what things need to be done to help your particular issue wether it be tests,blood work,xrays etc. Then tries to find the right solution for your issue. As I said before he is a kind caring doctor that will take the time to do everything possible to help. He listens to his patients..it not just 3 minutes then out the door. He sits down and let’s you tell him everything that is going on with you and writes everything down in your chart(computers now) and starts a plan to solve your issues which may take several visits. I was a satisfied patient of his for many years from 1979-1984 and he performed several surgeries on my knee including a knee replacement. I would recommend Dr. Robert S. Salamon to anyone… needing an orthopedic doctor

Dr Salamon and his staff (wanda)bend over backwards to make sure everything is taken care of for you. They truely care about the patient! I would reccomend Dr Salamon for general orthopaedic surgery.Dr Salamon even gave me his cell phone number in case I needed anything. You won't find nicer people.
