Dr. Robert A Sammartino, DO

I’ve had chronic headaches and migraines for almost a decade. I recently aged out of my pediatric neurologist and was referred to Jefferson Neurology. I finally got off the waitlist for Dr. Sammarito, and online he seemed to have good reviews. But during my visit, he focused much more on my recent weight gain than on the headaches I was actually there to discuss. Most of the weight gain happened after stopping all my medications and going through my freshman year of college — basically the classic freshman 15. Instead of addressing my migraines, he kept bringing up my weight and recommended a sleep study because he said I might have sleep apnea “due to my weight.” I’m 19, and I’ve never had a doctor speak so insensitively before. It felt dismissive and completely unrelated to why I sought care. Safe to say, I won’t be returning.

The office staff is pleasant and helpful since the new change in staff. he is always punctual and has a great bedside manner. Highly recommend!!

very rude on the phone .

Dr. Sammartino is a good doctor. He is patient and will listen to what you have to say. The woman at the front desk is loud, gruff, and extremely rude in person and on the phone.

I had difficulty making the appointment and because I work the Secretary kept giving me loud sighs in the phone as if I was being difficult! I am a very nice person who deals with the public in my job and if I treated people the way she did I wouldn't have ANY business.That was just the beginning, she was very RUSHED to get my information and sent it to the WRONG ADDRESS! Then she gave me an attitude because I had to fill it out THERE when I never received it! Then I got another attitude when I was 30 min AHEAD of appointment time because she asked me to be there an HOUR AHEAD! I explained the reason was because they gave me a Washington Twp, address and when I entered into GPS it said no location found! NOT MY FAULT EITHER! By this time she was having an ALL OUT NASTY DEMEANOR toward me SO MUCH that I felt SO UNCOMFORTABLE THAT I CANCELLED the appointment and walked out!! I have NEVER had a problem in ANY OTHER DR. office in 67 years!!!! It was a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE that I did NOT… DESERVE!!! I'll never go back. He may be a good Doctor but I will NEVER know because of HER!!!!

Very detailed and caring. Gave me his cell umber to make sure the pain meds he prescribed were working for me. Excellent pain management doc!

Great doc. He's very caring, listens to everything and does a thorough assessment.

dr. sammartino helped me so much with my migraines if it wasnt for him i still be getting them daily. thank you so much and to your staff who is always so easy going and helpful!!!!!

I find him to be good at diagnosing the problem, and plus he is very nice
