Dr. Robert Henry Schmidt, DO

I thank God for Dr. Robert Schmidt. I was in a very serious car accident and Dr. Schmidt was patient, listened to me when other Drs didn't, he is about the finest, sympathetic, most caring Dr. I have had the priveledge of the best possible care. I think he is wonderful

He researches your condition(s), advises on what therapy might be best for you based on your medical history. He takes the time to know you and really listens to your concerns. He is always researching and looking for new ways to help his patients.

Dr. Schmidt took over previous doctor's patients and he isn't as savvy on the computer which is where all the records are based. It sounds like the previous person's complaint was based on the fact that the office may have lost the records in the computer conversion. Dr. Schmidt's knowledge and support is amazing. I can trust his information and he is truly a partner in my recovery. The work he does saves lives for we who have been injured by chemicals. He is always open to discuss my internet research and provide additional options or information to help me understand thing more. He helps me make wise decisions on my health care taking into account benefits of approaches as well as financial constraints. He is not just one to order a whole slew of tests and leave you with a huge lab bill like some doctors.Also I have had minor surgery with him and he is more gentle and concerned than I needed... Dr. Schmidt is empathetic, that would be my one fault for him... I've seen him love… his patients so much that it really impacts him. Oh, the other thing to mention is he is not fat phobic... I'm a large person and I never had any problems attributed to "You just need to loose weight" to be well. You other large people out there will know what I mean... His diet advise is eating sensible and healthy - not any fad diet advice like I've gotten from other MD's... He knows his nutrition and interactions when given medicine. While he is an MD, he will work on getting your nutrition up to speed so natural healing can take place. This combined with appropriate medicine is a double whammy on the problem. Be Well!

Wonderful experience with this Dr. After three and a half years living in an area whom had no clue how to treat my illness I found Dr Schmidt. I spent two weeks receiving the best care to save my life. I am now healing and his continued guidance and support offer encouragement along the way. I am happy to still be alive and able to contribute this review in support of his work with other patients.

Saw re: poisoning w/myriad of symptoms/side effects after he took on retired Dr. practice @ Woodlands. He lost that dr's records. After 2 yrs of appts every 2-3 months, forgot what was wrong w/ me, lost his copies of what he sent to disability, lost former dr.'s copies and staff said he didn't know what to write up. Last straw was when he took 2 weeks to call in prescript to Pharmacy for a severe, painful bladder infection, even after repeated calls every other day to reception and his personal asst.
