Dr. Robert David Schumaker, MD

excellent doctor- excellent person

Dr. Schumaker is one of Knoxville's oncologist. I will not hesitate to refer him to anyone with cancer or a blood disorder. Staff is professional, caring & friendly.

This is the first review I've ever made for a doctor, but I like Dr. Schumaker so much I felt compelled to come here. I've never had a doctor spend so much time with me and explain things in such detail. He has thoroughly answered all my questions, he never acts rushed no matter how long he's with me, and he's great about giving me supporting documentation/information to take home and study more. The wait time at the office can be a little long, but I know it's because he is giving each and every patient the same amount of attention he gives me, so I don't mind the wait at all. I absolutely recommend him without reservation.

Diagnosis can't determine, yet. No personal call from doctor. But other than those two coments, I consider him top-notch.

His new nurse Sarah is great . She makes us feel important and always answers our questions and gets back to us . She's a strong asset that he added and we couldn't be more pleased with her . They have hired new management that I find discouraging to employees.Dr Schumaker is a great doctor and he has great staff working for him especially Sarah and his scheduler Paula. I strongly recommend him ,staff makes you feel important and he take his time with you .

My husband has been a patient for 2 1/2 years. The staff is always friendly, helpful and upbeat. He spends lots of time answering our questions. My husband is a very technical person so he asks lots of questions. Dr. Schumaker always takes great time with us and explains things very thoroughly to us. He is an excellent oncologist and a very good person. Seems to really care about his patients.
