Dr. Robert Charles Schwartz, MD

Again, be discerning.

Run away from this man. He have very poor advice to my ex-wife who was a danger to herself and others. We had a small child and he advised her to keep hidden the seriousness of her mental illness when she should have been institutionalized. Unfortunately we had a small child at the time and per his advice she disappeared and hid our daughter from me to this day. I fear for the well being of our child

Read the negative reviews on this website. They are spot on. This guy is totally unprofessional. Run, don't walk to find another doctor. Along with what has been written, I'll add that he may spend an entire session talking about his own problems, he's one of those doctors who freaks out if you suggest something (medicine or treatment) from your own research, and he doesn't appear to be able to make impartial decisions. Find a doctor with a positive attitude. This guy is old, in a bad mood and needs to be put out to pasture.

Dr. Schwartz was very helpful to me. He was my first psychiatrist, and i have had only two. I now live out if state and have been with my current doctor for over three years. I was treated by Dr. Schwartz for two years, and, although I feel he changed my meds too frequently, I have not since felt the ease with which I felt when speaking with him regarding any subject. He never made me feel ashamed, no matter what I confessed to him. This was and is very important to me. I am very happy with my current doctor, but always worry that I will be judged if I tell him everything. Dr. Schwarzt never made me feel that way, and I believe that he deserves recognition re: this particular gift, as it seems invaluable, to me, in order for psychotherapy to help in any way. I feel that he helped me very much.

I saw him many years ago, and I only remember two things: he was a supreme jerk and I kept getting bills from his office.

I've been going to Dr. Schwartz for about two years now. I've found him to be far superior to another psychiatrist I saw briefly several years ago. Dr. Schwartz is knowledgeable and thorough. Additionally, he is someone with whom I feel comfortable discussing personal issues.

Doesn't know what he is doing. I regret that I spent so much time going to him, but I was in such distress, didn't realize I needed to find a qualified doctor. Spent more time talking about his life than trying to help me. He pretty much just gave up on trying to help with my problems. Told me we had tried every med avaliable for my problems. When I went to another doctor found out there are many more meds to try.

Dr. Schwartz is the worst thing that could have happened to me. He was horrible. Not just to me, like I thought, another patient confided in me that he is horrible to them as well. He's an cruel, cruel man!
