Dr. Robert Schwartz, MD

I had surgery this year..a partial knee replacement. I never had a post surgery appointment. I was never given pre surgery instructions of any kind. Dr. Schwartz is probably a brilliant surgeon , but very self -absorbed, I am still unable o walk on the replacement knee after 1/2 years.

My 84 year mother received a hip replacement from Dr Schwartz and had amazing results and a very good recovery. He explained the procedure well and seems like a caring person. He recommended physical therapy which she did very well with. It seems a miracle that one minute she is lying in bed and can't move and 3 hours after surgery she is up and walking with the therapist's assistance. We are very grateful for the excellent work that Dr. Schwartz did and that he took her as a patient.

I am a 71 year old male who had knee replacement surgery about 18 months ago, performed by Dr Schwartz. Originally I intended to have a partial replacement but when he opened me up the damage was too extensive to qualify. He decided to use the Oxford prosthesis for full knee replacement which preserves the ACL ligament and results in a more stable knee post op. I am very pleased with the outcome of my surgery. My PT proceeded quickly and my range of motion is 95% as good as before. At 3 months post op I was hiking in a National Park. Dr. Schwartz is a personable and highly skilled surgeon. I found the office staff to be courteous and efficient. Wait times were sometimes longer than desired, but that seems to be the norm for medical care in the 21st century.

Technically great with wonderful bedside manner.
