Dr Schwartzenberg is a no-nonsense type of doctor. While showing a proper concern for your well being, he will not waste your time nor money with frivolous things (unless you demand it). He tells you what you need to hear (whether you want to hear it or not) and lays out all your options in a clear concise manner and lets you choose your own now informed opinion on what direction your treatment should go.His office staff is easy to get along with and are all star performers in their own rights.He has been my doctor for over ten years and have had little to complain about in all that time.

I agree with A.B. 100%. I was referred to Dr. Schwartzenberg eight years ago by a family member and hes been a wonderful doctor. He is quirky on occasion but when it comes to your health hes all business. What made me keep coming back was his honesty and straightforwardness. He takes the time to listen to all the concerns and fears a patient has and then explains everything in great detail. He always takes the time to answer my questions, even if its not during an office visit. My husband was in the hospital for something serious and when Dr. Schwartzenberg came to do his follow up, he took a few moments to check on me to see if I was doing o.k. and how my health was doing. The others looked right through me. I think his quirkiness balances with his bluntness, making him a good doctor!!

I don't know why anyone would give him 1 star and review him poorly. I have several medical conditions that he has seen me for since I first saw him in hospital about 4 years ago. He knows things that other doctors either don't know or don't mention. He looks at the whole picture of your health and tells it as he sees it. I've seen a lot of doctors over the years and in my experience, few are as straightforward with the patient. He is a little quirky on occasion, that I would agree. But whoever slammed him here must not have cared for his honesty. Maybe he didn't like that Dr. Bob's not a push-over MD that will write a prescription for whatever you ask for. I have those, too, and that's not necessarily a good thing. Like I said, I've seen a lot of doctors, some really crappy ones, but I don't go back to those. I stayed with Dr. Bob because he has a clue and I trust his assessment of the situation (even if he is a bit blunt about things)TRUST ME he is a good doc. I don't think… GSH would send a crappy doctor to examine an ICU patient. ( I would hope not.) If he rubs you the wrong way, you can always get a second opinion.
