Dr. Robert Michael Shannon, MD

Dr. Shannon is very personable, available, direct with his diagnosis, and his staff is beyond compare.

I am impressed with his up to date knowledge and controlled approach to treatment. He gives you the information you need to clearly understand his diagnosis. In other words he does not rush though,add another prescription without an overall plan just to make you feel"doctored". Dr. Shannon is truly one of the good ones.

There is something not right about Shannon's practice. He fails to respond to all attempts to contact his office. He doesn't appear to want his name associated with prescriptions. He does not seem to read materials given to him. He does not doctor as one would expect of a $150per/hr internist. Very poor assessment of this doctor.

Dr. Shannon and his staff seem to be unorganized. They seem to be understaffed. What Dr. Shannon and what he says are often two different things. He is not proactive in handling what a primary care physician is expected to do.

Very knowledgeable and personal. I never have the impression he is holding anything back and is totally focused on the patient.

Chronically inaccurate regarding communication about and ordering of prescriptions. Very long delays and wait times once in exam office. One can sit there up to three hours once in the exam room as they cover other patients. Nurses not always accurate and often have a difficult time date input-ing using the computer systems.
