Despite what their website advertises, Shelling Orthodontics does NOT offer convenient hours for everyone. If you have a specially needy child or medicaid, be prepared to constantly miss work and take your child out of school because they will only see your kind before 1pm. They make you sign a form stating this and will NOT ever accommodate you for any reason. First I was told that these hours were contracted with my daughter's insurance. But once I contacted the insurance company, they changed their story and stated that it was an office policy. For those of us with specially needy children, you know that they already have a ton of medical appointments which causes us to miss work and causes our children to miss school. Having an office policy to only see these type of children before 1pm is very insensitive. Obviously there are ulterior motives behind this policy and I will be switching my daughter to a different orthodontist who is more accommodating to all types of… patients.
