Dr. Robert Stewart Shofner, MD

The nurses and office folks at Shofner's were very nice. Dr. Shofner however is extremely condescending and talks to you as if you were on 3rd grade. He dumbs down his feedback to such a level where it is actually useless for one to act or decide on. I am sure he does not mean any harm but I suspect senility maybe a factor. I called his office and gave feedback and was told he is working with a consultant in this regard. Unfortunately I can not possibly recommend his practice.

I like Dr. Shofner, and I felt better after my appointment with him. However, some of his procedures for curing my dry eye were not accepted by me for financial and other reasons.

Staff was very friendly, prompt, courteous...couldn't be better. However, we are new to the U.S. medical system so we couldn't help but feel we were being "up-sold". I found it confusing as to what the best option was for us - what is covered by our insurance vs. paying thousands more for other "Cadillac" options that are not covered.

First, let me say that my vision is great after lasik surgery. The whole office went out of their way to make me feel at home and most importantly, SAFE. Dr. Shofner spend a lot of time with me. They are not pushy and all and truly helpful. It did take a long time to get me to the lasik laser machine on my day of surgery, and the waiting time could improve a little. Second, this was the best price I received for Lasik and I am pleased with the price and my new vision. Going in, I am glad I had a valium before surgery but it was not as scary as I thought. Thanks for my new eyes. It is wonderful.

I had a very in depth exam for Lasik. I learned a lot about my eyes. Everyone was very friendly and patient with all my questions and addressed my fears. I will probably go on and have lasik done there. Price seemed to be reasonable Finding the office was a little hard, its in that huge baptist complex.

After visiting previous eye doctors and still having issues with my vision, a friend recommended Dr. Shofner. Dr. Shofner actually produced a completely different diagnosis that other eye doctors missed. Glad I was referred to him as now I have options to improve my vision correctly.
