Dr. Robert Alan Shor, MD

Dr. Shor might be a good doctor, but given the abundance of good cardiologists in the Northern Virginia area, the trouble and hassle to get even a call back to make an appointment is not worth it. I called several times at the end of Nov. to make an appointment for my yearly check leaving my number for a call back, which never occurred. I finally just stayed on hold until someone finally answered. She told me the earliest with Dr. Shor, my doctor was in May of 2020, but that she would email someone to see if there was one sooner than that. Dec. 4th rolls around, no call back so again I start the process of calling, leaving my number for a call back that never occurs. Every day for five days, I called multiple times and left my number for a call back, that never occurred. Finally, again I stayed on hold for 20 minutes until someone answered. She told me that since there wasn't an earlier appointment, they didn't call me back. They didn't make the appointment in May at all for… me, or even give me the option to, so now, it's two weeks later and I don't have an appointment for my yearly check and at this point two weeks later, the first available is somewhere in the summer. I called around to other cardiologists that were listed as Top Docs as well and got in for an appointment in 10 days. The employees in the office are horribly trained, or an efficient system has not been applied or just don't care to do their job well. Something wrong somewhere.

I've been seeing Dr. Shor for almost 4 years. I'm extremely pleased with the care that I'm receiving. I highly recommend him.

I have mitral valve prolapse, He told me my problem "went away" and that I "don't have it anymore". 3 years later, I'm discovering ON GOOGLE that that does not happen. It does not "go away". Life-threatening advice.

Wonderful staff and doctor.

A horrible, horrible experience at misdiagnosis. Doctor Shor farms out his work. I had an emergency heart valve replacement at the Milton Hershey hospital. It came to me as a complete surprise. I never recieved any contact from Dr. Shor to this day.
