Dr. Robert Lewis Simons, MD

Dr. Simons is a wonderful surgeon and a fine man. He performed cervical spine surgery for me and made such a great difference in my quality of life. I am forever grateful.

I haven’t read a review of him and his FORTY EIGHT YEARS of work but how anyone could rate this man anything less than 5 stars (or whatever the highest possible) is confounding to me. As a person, a man who looked me in the eyes a laid out my situation to me, I love him. As an expert surgeon- I respect him more than words could define. His skills are sharp and his experience is priceless. And you will like him. I have no doubt.

We thought my husband had a pain in his leg caused by his back. Once doctor Simons looked at the MRI he said to us. I think the problem is coming from your hip not your back. He had my husbad do a x-ray of his upper leg and when we returned he showed us how his hip had deteriorated. Sent us to a hip replacement doctor and since Aug 6th my husband doesn't have pain anymore. I am so thankful to Dr. Simons for finding the solution to my husbands pain. I have only heard wonderful things about this doctor.

I can't possibly say enough about Dr Simons. I first saw him in 2011 with a terribly herniated disc, he said I'd likely need a fusion, but we could try a lesser surgery first. Well, I opted for the lesser, and a year later I was back for the fusion. 2 surgeries with him and he is AMAZING! He has cured my back pain, brought it from a 7 or 8 down to a 2. I do still have terrible nerve pain, but that is not as a result of his hands. My stenosis is causing my nerve canals to grow closed on themselves. I have an upcoming appt with him to discuss further plans. Well worth the lead time to see him. This isn't the typical appt at 10, get seen at noon type place. Fast, concise, caring, and courteous. 10 stars Doc, you're awesome!

I owe this man a lot, in 1995 I had a herniated disk in my lower back that was causing a lot of nerve damage in my right leg. It was getting to the point where I couldn't walk any more because of the weakness in that leg. After surgery I could feel the strength returning to my leg and after a few months I was back on the job good as new. This man knows what he's doing and he is the best at it.

AFter a critical spinal problem was overlooked at Sansum Clinic, Dr Simons quickly and correctly requested the additional tests that revealed the real problem, and immediately scheduled the appropriate surgery. Thanks, Dr Simons!

I have a disorder with my disc they rupture. I have had 4 seperate surgeries over the last twenty years. Dr. Simons performed the first three before retiring. Dr. Simons is very informative about my condition. Each level of rupture has very different side effects on my body some need immediate surgery while others can wait until I can't control the pain. If you have a appointment for 9am be early because he runs his office like he operates with expertise and precision.
