Dr. Robert Sloan, MD

Dr Solan office staff could not be nicer, the front office person who worked with my insurance to get some imaging scheduled asap did a great job and she seemed to care very much about my situation just like it was hers. Dr Solan was very nice, understanding and caring. He took the time to make sure we understood what us happening and answered all of our questions. He was very understanding with my frustrations with a old surgeon that put me into this situation. The only negative thing was my appointment was at 2pm and I did not see Dr Solan until almost 250pm BUT they were very apologetic and gave us plenty of updates.

I was in so much pain when I met Dr. SLOAN. he at all times treated me and my family with respect. He was totally in to helping me with my issues. I had an out patient procedure that did not get the results either one of us were expecting. He continued to help me in any way he could. I did have a final surgery that has helped me greatly. He has compassion for his patients. Yes, he is very busy, I think that comes from being the best. His Nurse Practitioner Ashley is great. She takes the time to listen to everything have to say. Office personnel are just the best. From appointments scheduling tests and surgery. They have all been WONDERFUL. I would recommend Dr. Salons and his staff to anyone.

My experience with Dr Sloan was great to say the least. His staff was friendly and courtious,he took the time to explain my issue in terms that i could understand and he made me feel like a person and not just a "patient". I would recommend him with the confidence that you would have the same experience!! Kudos to him and his staff for turning my scary situation into a wonderful experience!!

Great doctor - I went to several neurosurgeons around Indianapolis before seeing Dr. Sloan. He was by far the best doctor I met and I did great after having my herniated disc removed. I would highly recommend.

not sure what the other commenters are complaining of. Great doctor - would highly recommend, my leg pain resolved immediately after surgery.

This physician has NO bedside manner. After waiting an entire day in the hospital for an encounter that we were told would be in the AM, he showed up after several requests to the nursing staff, at 6:30 pm -- dressed like he was going golfing and in a rush. At the most, he spent a full minute to tell us that the x-rays had been misread. He then ordered a medical supply that was not available in the hospital - required a special order from the supplier, and was not provided until 18 hours later. Our family found him to be abrupt and put-out. I would not recommend this physician if you are seeking someone with compassion and a desire to help - he just doesn't measure up to those standards.

Had several surgeries over the last three years and have had ongoing chronic lower back pain. Keeps repeating the same tests stating everythin g looks fine. If everything is so fine why am I in constant agonizing pain. To be fair the level of pain has decreased dramatically but is still beyond what I can tolerate. Now he wants to pass me off to some one else instead of solving the problem

I had back pain for 10 years, Dr. Sloan did an outpatient procedure, and I went home the same day and have been pain free since.

Went in for surgery. Woke up in extreme pain not releived by pain medication. Sent home in the same state, called an ambulance within 36 hours back to hospital, New MRI showed he had accidently cemented a nerve root to cage. Went back in for second surgery. With in 1 one was back in hospital with ecoli in spinal colum, left with a PICC line and appt. with a infectious diease MD. Which has lead to problems ever since. Not impressed with skills.
