Dr. Robert Alan Stetson, MD

When I met him he was nice enough. I was told he could help me transition off of Klonpin. When we discussed how to do this he told me I could start at 2 weeks on. Pill and a half . I was on 2 . If my body could tolerate 1 week on that dose then go to 2 halves. I chose to do the 2 weeks. I realized I might need part of a prescription to finish coming down. When I called and ask for a refill at a smaller dose he told me to find another doctor or check in to a rehab. I was confused and could not understand why it was a big deal. I was coming off it was just going to rake a couple of weeks longer. I had already went down on my dose again. I take part responsibility for not noticing that he had not written 1 to 2 weeks on my directions. When I called to discuss it with him he was out of the office that week and the told me to call back on Monday. This was Thursday. They did not have anyone else I could talk with.

The dr is ok but his office staff was absolutely horrible and his office manager is so rude and needs to find another line of work. She is rude, unprofessional and uncaring. I’m bipolar and they waited until the last minute to reschedule my appointment due to weather, mind you I was in my car in route to the office for the appointment when they called to cancel, and they rescheduled my appointment for another three weeks out, and they wouldn’t refill my medicine and I’m a bipolar and the office manager didn’t care. She told me that the weather wasn’t there problem and the fact I didn’t have any medicine left wasn’t their problem either. I found another doctor who was able to get in two days later and I never went back.

He was a life saver for me and my entire family. He is highly intelligent and very personable. He is very thorough with working with his patients to make sure that their medical/psychological needs are met. I would recommend him to anyone who needs an educated intelligent Psychiatrist that knows medications and matches up the correct treatment for anyone with any kind of psychological issues.

Concerned and professional. Controls situations when pt. is upset and helps pt. to resolve and understand flare up of emotions.

Dr. Stetson spent a reasonable amount of time on his evaluation and answered some questions. He is an ok Dr, however I could not stand listening to the girls up front tell everyone's story. medical information is supposed to be confidential, especially psychiatric. I was horrified by how much I learned about other patients while in the waiting room.
