Good individualized treatment

My husband was his patient, a diabetic, trying to evacuate for a hurricane. He was low on insulin so I called to get a refill. I was told he could not give a refill because it had been twelve months and two weeks since previous appt. I told the doctor that we only needed one vial to get us back but he wouldn't budge. I told him that of course my husband would die without his insulin and his direct quote was, "not my problem." We had to go to an urgent care on our evacuation route who couldn't believe that a doctor wouldn't call in one two week supply of insulin. to top it off, when we returned from our evacuation, we received a CERTIFIED LETTER stating my husband would no longer be seen by Dr. Taylor because he was an uncooperative patient. My husband hadn't even talked to the doctor; I had.
