Dr. Robert John Teachman, DO

We are new in the area and dr. Teachman took his time with my daughter who has a lot of medical issues. My husband and I will also be choosing him as our family dr also. Very perfessional and the staff was great.

excellent doctor, actually listens to the patient and offers professional care. over the years , i have experienced the best care with osteopathic physicians.

He is the best doctor I've ever had. Very attentive, very caring and always ready to refer me to any specialist I need.

Dr. Teachman failed to diagnose my anemia, despite the evidence being right there in the lab results he ran. My iron levels were super low, but he told me everything was fine and suggested I take anti-depressants for my fatigue. I was furious, because I am already on anti-depressants which he should have already known had he bothered to look at my chart.

He is easy to talk to. He makes me feel comfortable and at home. He cares about his patients. Always ask about my son and wife.

When I moved to the area I needed a trusted family doctor. Dr. Teachman was recommended to me by my specialist, and I am very glad. He is very down-to-earth and unintimidating. He doesn't waste time and gives you 100% of his attention, listening and explaining. To those who feel the receptionist is curt, I remember all the years of dealing with my family doctor's mother-in-law who was the receptionist (Mrs. Barnes I'll never forget) and just say don't take people's style personally.

I really like working with Dr. Teachman,, and I word it this way intentionally. He communicates well that one is responsible for one's health,that he is the professional, of course, and that we are partners towards optimizing your well-being. Guess this is a long way of saying I appreciate his respect for me, and I trust him! What more do you need in your main physician? Just to clarify, I put 4 stars for "Spends Time with Me" in that the visits are short and to the point, no extended nor unnecessary extra time. But when there, he's totally present and professional. So this could be a 5, b/c not inappropriate use of time! Also, to clarify re "Follows up...", I don't know that this has presented an issue, so this could be a "Not Applicable" so far!

Doctor Teachman is wonderful. He truly cares about his patients and works to devise an unique health plan for individual needs. Every time I have dealt with the receptionist, Amy, she is rude, and seems very bothered by my requests. A horrible first impression for a great doctor!

Dr Teachman spent a lot of time with me going over everything.....I never felt like he was rushing to get me out the door. He is very thorough with his diagnosis and makes sure to figure out a plan that works with your lifestyle. I like that he isn't so quick to give you "meds" as a quick fix....he is determined to figure out the cause and get you back on track. He's very nice as well!!
