Dr. Robert R Thousand Jr

Dr. Robert R. Thousand, III was born in St. Louis, MO on May 17th, 1970. He is the only heir to Dr. Robert R. and Jane Thousand, Jr. Young life was experienced in the Midwest states of Kansas and Colorado with relocation to North Florida when his father attended the University of Florida Periodontal Specialty Program.
Higher education started at the University of Florida as an undergraduate in Zoology. Dr. Thousand, III entered into Creighton Univeristy Dental School in Omaha, NE. During his four years of training he achieved outstanding recognitions in Table clinic research projects and represented Creighton University in National Public Dental Health conferences. Dr. Thousand, III also completed an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Externship at the Los Angeles County Hospital during his dental school training. Creighton University recognized Dr. Thousand, III with outstanding awards in Endodontics and as a member of the highest National Board scores in operative dentistry.
Once …achieving his Doctor of Dental Surgery, he furthered his education in a two year Endodontic Specialty Residency at the University of Southern California Specializing in root canal and oral surgery procedures. During this time Dr. Thousand, III was placed in charge of the International Student program in Endodontics to help train foreign dentists in American treatment regiments and standards of care. He also assisted in a Problem Base Learning program that was a prototype for new dental education systems nation wide.
Dr. Thousand, III has practiced in St. Augustine, FL since 1999 and is a member of the American Association of Endodontist, the Florida Association of Endodontists and a past president of the St. Augustine Dental Society. His passions are his daughter of 4 years of age, Macey, big game fishing, flying and traveling.
