Dr. Robert Wayne Timpe, DDS

Dr. Robert W. Timpe was born and raised on the Peninsula and graduated from Awalt High School, now Mountain View High School. He completed his dental training at the University of the Pacific, San Francisco. Dr. Timpe volunteered for the Navy Dental Core and served in the U.S. Navy for three years, after which he went into private practice in Palo Alto as a general dentist for five years.
During his dental training, Dr. Timpe found it very rewarding to help children with their dental needs. After eight years of general practice, he was accepted for a two-year pediatric dental residency at Oakland Children's Hospital.
Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Timpe joined Dr. Robert Smithwick, who had established the first pediatric dental practice in Sunnyvale. The location is the same now as it was then, but the office has recently been remodeled.
