Dr. Robert David Turoff, MD

I was tremendously disappointed with the care I received. I couldn't believe how arrogant he was.

Went to Dr. Turoff for a thyroid problem. He is very experienced. I think he is the best surgeon for thyroids, as well as, any other general surgery or cancer surgery. I did not need surgery. He will not do surgery if he does not need to.

I've been seeing this Dr. for about 5 years for a Thyroid nodule I have ultrasound and biopsy and never had a problem, staff very friendly. Last year I was diagnosed with breast cancer around the time of my yrly with Dr. Turoff, he asked if I had a surgeon and I had one for years and was very comfortable with and he kinda seemed annoyed by me not wanting to do the surgery, I just blew it off and scheduled my appt. Well today had been 1 yr from my breast surgery and going over my history he asked if I had a colonoscopy and I had kept in the same facility as my cancer treatment and he did the same thing saying how he does colonoscopies too and he actually got nasty and said why do you come here then? It really rubbed me the wrong way having to explain myself it made me uncomfortable and annoyed. I actually told him it helped my swallowing draining the nodule, he says see I'm good but go to your place! Wow that made my mind up I'm done. His staff is so nice and professional but he is… passive-aggressive and arrogant. So I'll be finding a new Dr for my Thyroid now.

Does anyone knows if you have a cold will he still perform hernia repair ?

This doctor is a moron.I was sent to Dr. Turoff at the behest of worker's compensation for a second opinion concerning one or more hernias.Dr.Turoff claimed I only had a very small ventral hernia,which he advised to leave alone.I knew this not to be the case but Dr.Turoff put me in my place real quick.It turns out,after a court approved MRI that I do indeed have 3 hernias,2 inguinal and 1 ventral.He also insisted a young lady from his office staff be in the room while I was being examined,figure that one out,I couldn't.Absolutely nothing impressive about this doctor.

Dr. Turoff is a very caring and understanding Doctor. He is well known and respected in the community. I highly recommend him to my friends and family. The staff is wonderful and accommodating.

He was very detailed and spent time reviewing my records and discussing all my options. I thank him for his knowledge and experience. Highly recommend this surgeon.

can come across as arrogant, but he is a surgeon. He cares about all his patients. He will personally introduce you to any other doctor he refers you to. He calls and finds the answers to any question regarding pathology etc. He is very thorough. The wait is sometimes long, but that is because he takes time with every patient.
