Dr. Robert Yabon Velasco, MD

Dr Velasco is one of the best doctors I’ve ever had. I’ve been with him since he opened his practice my family, close relatives and friends go to him also and they feel the same. I can’t say enough about him. I’m so fortunate to have such a good primary care physician.

Dr. Velasco has won my complete respect and faith by his steady manner, his diagnosis skill, his diligence, his kindness and his quick response time. Great doctor. Other doctors should sit in on some of his sessions to learn what it means to provide topnotch care. Bravo.

By chance I was assigned to Dr. Velasco for an office visit. His warmth, his eye-to-eye manner, his obvious knowledge and his attention to concerns are all exemplary. I believe he likes what he's doing.

I was new to RI (and New England in general). I needed to see a primary care Dr. to get a referral for something and was randomly assigned to Dr. Velasco. My intention was to get the referral and hand pick my PCP, because I assumed that being assigned a Dr. based on availability would yield the same results as asking for a last minute hair appointment... but after my first office visit I knew that I couldn't possibly find a better Dr. He's the best Dr. I've ever seen. He is caring, he listens, he is knowledgeable, and he takes action to get results. I also like that the practice he works with utilizes very modern technology. I can (and have) communicated directly with the Dr. via a healthcare portal (it's basically like getting to text your Dr.). This tool is really amazing. Rather than make an appointment I can just send a message directly to the Dr. and get a referral or information without all the red tape. The portal also allows me to see /access results of tests and… office visit summaries. I feel very lucky to have been assigned to Dr. Velasco so early in his career. I have a feeling he will end up being a pretty busy guy once word gets out.
