Dr. Robert Clark Wagner

Mr. Wagner was iformative, concise and reassuring when discussing the surgery and the outcomes of the surgery. Currently a colon cancer (Stage C2) survivor for 17 years.

Decent surgeon, but with poor communication skills.

I was in the hospital, with no assigned surgeon. I saw interns, GP's, and Gastro team. The one person that seemed to take the lead was Dr. Wagner. He did not feel surgery was necessary at the time and he was spot on. He may not be a hand holding, kleenex box kind of Doctor, but he was kind, truthful and took great care of me. When everyone was pitching very serious outcomes at me (very scary), Dr. Wagner was the quiet in the storm and was the best at explaining my condition and his reasons for a different approach to my treatment. This is a great, SMART Doctor!

I needed to get a biopsy. The Doctor anesthetized me and didn't wait for the injection to take effect. I told doctor I could feel the pain of him cutting into my skin but he did not stop. Afterwards, he stitched the area but did not tell me how to take care of the stitches so that it wouldn't get infected. He did not explain the procedures which doctors are required to do by law. It was obvious that he only cared about getting me out as soon as possible so he could go on with his day. He clearly didn't care about me.

Nothing like experience. Go to the doctors doctors send their mothers to.

There are many Dr. Wagners' in the metropolitan area, but Dr. Robert C. Wagner is a General Surgeon. My overall experiences have been excellent, both with the staff and the doctor. First of all, surgery is a very intimidating situation; however, this doctor really knows his stuff. My wife had to undergo breast related surgeries and we couldn't have been more blessed than to see Dr. Wagner.On another occasion, my son needed to have his gallbladder removed and again, that experience from the time of the initial appointment to the post-op care was excellent. We especially appreciate the staff...despite the pressure of some demanding patients, they strive to accomodate all of Dr. Wagner's patients.I would definitely recommend Dr. Wagner for all general surgery needs!

My experience with Dr. Wagner is kind of bitter sweet. First of all, I know I'm not there to see the front office staff, however first impressions go a long way. The Hispanic lady that works up front is rude, and thinks that because she smiles, it makes it ok. (once she even had to apologize for being so sarcastic)Dr. Wagner is great at what he does, and is always busy, so appointments and consultation are feel very rushed. My procedure went well, but I wasn't given a realistic healing time frame, and the last two weeks have been agonizing. If you're not concerned about the "whole package" (ie - customer service), then I would recommend him for sound medical diagonis. If not, I would advise you look elsewhere.

Dr. Wagner has been my surgeon for 4 breast surgeries, including a mastectomy. He is excellent. To the point. Follow-up as much as needed. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Dr Wagner and his staff did a great job! They helped me so much I can't even put it all done on this website. How do you thank someone for taking away your pain and helping get your life back. All the other doctors ignored my pain but Dr. Wagner found it and fixed it. Thank you Capitol Spine & Pain Centers.
