Dr. Robert Alan Winiecki, MD

We had been going to Dr. Winiecki for over thirty years. He did not catch my husband's heart failure and instead was treating him for asthma. My husband was in the hospital for 17 days before he died and not once did the doctor visit him or acknowledge his death. He sent his associates for rounds instead. Lack of competence and compassion. I will not be going back to this doctor.

I had concerns with Neurologists, and wanted one who would work with me. He also has taken care of, and referred me to other specialists who could help me with vertigo and hearing issues. The staff helped me with very difficult referral issues with my HMO and went above and beyond to assist me in getting everything straightened out. They helped me to communicate with physicians even outside of my network, to get approval to Rush for in-network approval. Patient, kind, understanding, and efficient.

Dr. Winiecki is the kindest. He has an excellent bedside manner. I have been his patient for a long time and I trust hum implicitly.

Dr. has treated our emploees and friends. He is outstanding!

I wish everybody knew how bad a doctor he is and his office is so disorganized!!!! I just called to make a payment and they do not even know how much I owe.

The best medical event I've had is about 16 years ago when my employer changed health plans and I had to find a new doctor. Dr. Winiecki was the only one in my area...to my good fortune. The wait times are minimal. He always spends enough to answer all my questions. I especially like that his first response is usually not another prescription (unless its an infection). If I need to see him, he is always able to fit me in. I would recommend him to anyone.

My husband and I have both been under the care of Dr. Winiecki for a number of years and have found him to be an excellent diognostician. We see other specialists, and on a couple of occasions, he picked up on things they missed which changed the course of our treatment and solved the problem. We have been impressed by how well he listens, and how knowledgeable he is. We feel very confident and comfortable in his care.

Dr. Winiecki had NO time to spend with any family member to discuss treatment let alone the patient. He could have honestly cared less about a person. I'm so sorry to have bothered him to see a human being through cancer, but being terminal who cares....right?

My wife and I have been going to Dr Winiecki for a number of years and the things that stands out is his listening skills and how he really takes the time to understand your symptoms. Because of this, Dr Winiecki doesn't just jump to try some expensive test or medicine, but instead gives you treatment options and talks to you about positives and negatives with the different choices. I wish all doctors could be this way.
