Listens attentively, does not rush you, is very informative regarding your issue, insures accuracy, asks questions about your condition you may not have thought of, trustworthy, office staff friendly,

I can only think that the poor reviews on this site are either people who are talking about a different doctor, were seeking opiate prescriptions, or are posting false reviews. Dr. Witmer is an excellent and caring physician and extremely knowledgeable. I feel he always has my best interests in mind and cares about my continued health. I have been going to him for about 10 years.

I found this Dr to be someone who was easy to talk to and caring bed side manner.

after waiting over an hour in the waiting room and another 55 min. in the exam room a nurse comes in and asked me a couple questions after waiting another 25 min. the doctor finally comes in the first words out of his mouth are you don't look sick to me and then he walks out. So I spent $50 co-pay spent over two hours of my time took time off of work so someone could tell me I'm not sick. My new Dr. told me that I have an infection and gave me medicines work. And also told me. She gets a lot of patient Dr. Witmer but say the exact same thing he questions his competency

Dr Witmer is the best Dr I have ever experienced. He has all the time you want to ask questions or explain things but is fast and extremely efficient. I will never change Dr's.

I've been seeing Dr. Witmer for years. He never rushes me, is knowledgeable, and explains anything he says thoroughly. As to diagnoses he is a primary care physician so refers me to specialists, but he sends me to the right specialists or discusses my options with me. The office could use a sprucing up, but the staff is first rate. I like their connection with Jefferson, a really top hospital (albeit a teaching hospital which means sometimes you are seen first by an intern who is learning, acts official, but is simply a student).

Really competent and decent physician.

Dr. Witmer saved me from going through with a painful, expensive, and unnecessary knee surgery.After having knee pain for a while, I went to the Rothman Institute, where I was given painful injections. They recommended knee surgery, of which I was very apprehensive.I visited Dr. Witmer for a normal checkup and told him of my knee pain. He had my Vitamin D levels tested. Sure enough, they were really low. I've been taking Vitamin D supplements since then and, guess what: no knee pain!

I just moved in to town I contacted my insurance company for a doctor they recommended Dr. Witmer. To start out with he can't diagnose a problem . He has the worst bedside manner is ignorant and rude . He's a know it all I asked him to read over my file that I brought and he came up with something different than every other Dr so I took the file to another doctor who told me Dr. Witmer need a competency hearing . And the doctor also told me that he had to fix more problems have come out of Dr. Witmer's office because of his total incompetency he said that he checked into his background and found out that he is a graduate of the University of Rochester he has a 2.1 grade point average any should be pumping gas. If he can't diagnose the problem he takes the easy way out and says it's a mental problem stay away from this Dr.
