After graduating UCLA with a Phi Beta Kappa award in 1971, Dr. Wolfe attended the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. There he was honored with the Stafford L. Warren Medal for the outstanding graduating medical student. He was also elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society where he served as president. He went on to do his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in pulmonary diseases at UCLA and Wadsworth VA hospitals. After completing his training, Dr. Wolfe went into private practice as a specialist in pulmonary diseases in West Los Angeles in 1980. He is presently an attending physician at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians. His interests include asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, lung cancer and sleep disorders.

Dr. Wolfe has been the CEO of a southern California philanthropic organization that helps fund medical research as well as the arts and social causes.

Dr. Wolfe is married and has two …children. He loves bike riding and he has commuted to work on a bicycle for many years.

What a wonderful doctor and pleasant to be with. I discovered Dr Wolfe after high praise from a nurse who used to know him. I had given up on my symptoms. I had seen a Pilmonologist & was told that my ”lungs are fine & no asthma.” Yet my symptoms were quite real & still persistent. Very frustrating, but I wasn’t about to give up & throw in the towel. I sought a second opinion. The usual preliminary breathing assessments were done, & then Dr Wolfe walked in. After reviewing the results, he said that a chemical detected in my breath that indicated asthma & that I had some sort of damage to my lower lungs that although did’t require immediate attention for, he wanted ”to keep an eye on it.” I shared that the other doctor hadn’t even taken X-rays. Aghast, he said ”HE BLEW YOU OFF. HE JUST BLEW YOU OFF.” I’m finally on my way to recovery. And he’s always such a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended.

Dr. Wolfe is absolutely the best person to take care of you. He is caring, intelligent, dedicated and so so knowledgable. He ALWAYS returns phone calls in person the same day and is concerned about your overall health regardless what issue you come to him for. I consider him my personal Angel.

This doctor is everything you would want. Competent, caring and friendly. Takes time to explain. Excellent diagnostician committed to getting to the bottom of the problem and following up. Accessible despite busy schedule, and does not rush through the appointment.

My asthma was awful, and apparently I should have been in the hospital when I finally came in to see Dr. Wolfe, but he took great care of me. His staff was great. I always got appointments when I needed them and talked to him if I had questions. Despite the fact that he is one of the best respiratory doctors in the state, probably the world! I got referred to him thru a friend that also had rave reviews of him. GO TO THIS DOCTOR IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS WITH ASTHMA!!!
