Dr. Robert Alexander Wood, MD

Initially, I was referred to another doctor in this practice who got called to deliver a baby, so I was switched to Dr. Wood. He seemed very nice and listened, then had the pap smear and pelvic exam, plus ultrasound. I also got the mammogram on the same day which was convenient. I was referred to another specialist who is phenomenal. I now continue to see Dr. Wood for the annual exam and tests and I think Dr. Wood gets the job done quickly and with little fuss. I like the nurses and technicians very much.

Went to see him because I was confused at what was going on with me. He was very insensitive and treated my health problems as a lie. Just because he couldn’t find them on greenway. He also told me because I had kidney issues 4 years ago that I should be fine now. When just a year ago I was not just diagnosed with kidney issues but bladder issues as well and have to use a catheter 4x a day. I will never go back to see him.

He is a good doctor and is always there for his patients when they need him. He is usually right most of the time and makes sure you get the proper care you need, however, he doesn't make me feel comfortable and I feel like I'm always being rushed. Just like a past post has said before, I also feel as if he doesn't really want to hear what I have to say and you should be able to talk to your doctor about anything without feeling that way. Other than that, yes he is a great doctor and your health is in good hands.

Not compassionate. Misdiagnosed me. Would not listen to what I tried to tell him. I am 58 years old with menopause problems. He tried to tell me I had infections instead and would not listen to a word I had to say about my medical conditions. I could not even ask what to do about my problems. Not till 2 days later that I was called to say I did not have an infection and it was hormones. So still no answer to my problems. Going to another doctor and do not waste your time with this one.

I recently had surgery and Dr. Wood is the best OB/GYN ever. I have been a patient with Mobile OB/GYN for a very long time Dr Seldon Stephens was my Doctor and that was long ago. Dr. Stephens was the most wonderful Doctor the me, However I think Dr.Wood is equal to him. If you are looking for a great Doctor I recommend Dr. Wood.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Wood. He is very thorough and explains procedures very clearly. He quickly zeroed in on my problems and scheduled tests to confirm them. I scheduled surgery and he was very patient and understanding with my anxieties and questions. My surgery went great and I feel better than I have in years.I have since recommended him to several friends and will continue to do so.

Dr. Wood is an amazing OB-GYN! He is the most caring doctor I have ever known. He makes you feel as if you were his sister or mother by the way he honestly cares for your health. Communication between him and his patients is very open and comfortable. He treats his patients with respect and truly listens to their worries.
