Absolutely smooth and positive experience with Dr. Robert Yates. He fixed my inguinal hernia laparoscopically with no complications. He is always open to all my questions and patiently answering them all. In general i was really impressed with the whole UW staff from the minute i walk in for surgery till the discharge and follow-ups afterwards. Excellent doctor from his bedside manner in laying out the diagnosis and prognosis through to an excellent outcome from the surgery that yielded very fast recovery. Two months can hardly see I had surgery.

I had to have emergency exploratory surgery/small bowel. Dr Yates and his team saved my life. I became septic and needed surgery. He was very polite and thorough answering any questions that I or my wife had about the surgery. It turned out that I had a gangrenous gall bladder, it was taken out and I am currently healing very well.

He is committed to performing the best care for you. Dr. Yates is very well knowledge in his field. he display a genuine concern for his patients well being. He takes the fear out of surgery. He is a fine surgeon with skillful talents and honesty. He is trustworthy, knowledgeable and personably kind to his patients. He strides to make it as painless as possible for you. the little pain I felt was gone 6 hours later and recovery was quick. This is a Doctor everyone should have.

Can't say enough about how well I was treated by Dr. Yates and staff before during and after my hernia surgery performed by Dr. Yates at Northwest Hospital! Recovery is going great so far.
