Dr. Robert Allen Young, MD

I was referred to this Dr by my dermatologist for skin cancer removal. After calling numerous times to schedule my appointment (I could not get through to anyone) Patti answered the phone, I had several questions in regards to my insurance and when the dr could perform this procedure. She proceeded to tell me that she cannot change my insurance rules (not that I had asked her to do so) and that she wouldn’t be able to “bump” anyone out of their spot so I could be seen (didn’t ask her to do that either) , and that there were many other women with cancer who needed to be seen first. I was floored by her rude comments and continually talking over me so I couldn’t get a word in. After mentioning how unpleasant she was being she proceeded to call me snippy, I then told her I wouldn’t be choosing their office for the procedure due to her rude nature, and SHE HUNG UP ON ME. Awful! Thank god this happened after reading these comments it sounds like it was a blessing I didn’t return.

Dr. Young sets the bar for excellence, professionalism and quality of work. He is brilliant and well experienced in what he does for the field of plastic surgery. He's a gentle, quiet man of few words who sincerely cares for his patients and their quality of life; I trust him with all of my plastic surgery needs. I had post cancer reconstruction and I look and feel like a MILLION. I'm still physically beautiful. Thank you Dr. Young.

Dr Young has been my Dr for two years. He is the most caring Dr I have met. Amazing surgical skills and great bedside manner. His office staff is very caring and treat me like family.

DO NOT USE THIS DR. HE IS A JOKE!!

Dr. Young and his staff set the bar for superior customer service and professionalism. He and his staff are caring and compassionate and take the time to ease and anxiety or fear of procedure. As for Dr. Young's work, he truly cares about the end result and takes personal interest in his finished work.

I wish I would have known about this website before working with Dr. Young. I had a breast reduction which resulted in losing an entire nipple and aeriola on one side, a very sunken nipple on the other side, huge lumps from dead fat tissue underneath, and excessive sags of skin under my arms. It was a disaster. I, too, had my drains RIPPED out 4 days after surgery. One drain was still attached with a couple of stitches (which he missed) which caused excruciating pain. Not once did he apologize for causing me such agony. He is very difficult to talk to, mumbling most of the time. I am now working with another surgeon who is trying to repair the damages. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS MAN FOR A BREAST REDUCTION!!!!

Do not let this doctor touch you! He is rude, pompous, and most of all, the most insensitive doctor I have ever met. If he offers to treat you, because others will learn from your case of extensive reconstruction surgery--Run! He is using you as a guinea pig and is only out for his own gain and glory. He is not interested in you as a patient or a human being.

Another physician recommend Dr. Young for reconstructive surgery of my breast after a mastectomy for breast cancer. I was not there for a tummy tuck or to erase frown lines. He took my history, and took photos of my chest (as a routine I guess for plastic surgeons). He then proceeded to tell me that " he wouldn't touch me with a ten foot pole". I'm sure that he had decided this after learning my history. I was required to take the photos, something any woman having had a mastectomy, would dread. I felt humiliated and stunned that a physician could be so insensitive and downright rude to a patient. My husband was also present for this and he was outraged as well. There were other, less demeaning ways to handle the situation. He chose to be a total jerk. My self esteem, already battered by the cancer diagnosis, was crushed. I am posting this to warn others. Avoid this "doctor" at all costs.

OMG! This guy was so rude!!!!!!! After he ripped the drains out of each breast, yes RIPPED he was horrible. On my way out, I don't know what I did but he stopped me and pulled under my chin, the top of my arm, and my stomach and said that people could sure tell I was middle-aged. I didn't say anything I froze! For him to touch me like that and to say that I really looked middle-aged, who said I wasn't? He is one of the direct Dr.'s that are assigned to do the DOW Corning breast removal and wow, if you can go anywhere else, please please do. This guy must hate women!!!!!!

I went to see Dr. Young for a breast reconstruction surgery. I have a congential breast disease. I went to him for a second opinion. I came prepared with all of my information and research in hand. He told me that what I wanted my breasts to look like didn't matter!? He would do what he could do. The other doctor I went to had me research everything again (before/after photos, silcone vs saline, ect. ect.) He spent about 30 minutes with me and I left in in tears because he was such a jerk. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.
