Dr. Robert Alan Zajac, MD

I saw Dr. Zajac several times for an unidentified infection. I never waited less than 1-1.5 hrs to see him. One day it was over 2.5 hours. He wasn't able to solve my medical mystery, but others have failed as well, so I'm not sure I can fault him for that. He did ask me at one point, what Google thought it was. The wait time alone was enough that I will not be going back. My time is valuable and to take 3-4 hours out of my day (including drive time), every couple of weeks to see him, is unacceptable. Most people have similar complaints. I didn't see anyone being called back quickly during my visits. I didn't have any issues with the office staff.

Dr. Zajac has been treating a bone infection for me for several months. My experience with both him and his staff has been exceptional. They're accommodating, friendly, and Dr. Zajak appears to be healing an issue in my hand that I've been dealing with for some time.

My experience with staff has been different than the other reviews, they've been very accommodating. If they don't answer the phone, leave a message, they'll call you back.

Appointment scheduled for 11:20. We sat in the office and private room until the doctor came at 1:30. The room was very cold.

Most frustrating office ever! Never return phone calls, always have to wait excessively and Zajac gives you very little time. Still not sure about Zajac and his abilities since still being treated.

His office - after consulting with my son's surgeon - was FOUR WEEKS LATE even helping to book an appointment that was necessary right away after surgery. They more than overbook appointments by scheduling five-to-six patients at one time. As a result of overbooking, it was over an hour and 45 minutes before the doctor walked in to see my son. When I expressed my frustration over the wait time, Zajac responded with, "You could look elsewhere if you like." I said, "We will." We continued with this one appointment because I wasn't going to let my son's two-hour total wait time be in vain, but I would highly recommend to look elsewhere for anyone considering this doctor. As a mom with two out of four kids with major health conditions and having gone through cancer myself, I and my family have seen countless doctors. I've never disliked a doctor enough to write multiple reviews warning of said doctor's rudeness and arrogance until now. Choose someone else who actually respects people.

Title: A question I'm putting out there to those of you that regularly go to doctors appointments. I had a very unpleasant day and experience with a doctor that I have been going to for four years now. I am very rarely late and usually 5 to 10 minutes early. The length of time waiting in his office to even get in a waiting room has gone to a half hour to an hour and a half. I saw two people that arrived after me go in before me. When I approached the receptionist with my question about the wait time, I was treated with hostility and told it was up to the doctor whom he wanted to see first. I want you to all know that i never raised my voice or caused a scene, just want to be acknowledged. I sat back down, and 10 minutes later my name was called and then put me in the room, where the assistant hastily did vitals in most unfriendly manner, not even looking at me. The doctor came in acting even more distant than his usual manner ( he's not friendly anyway), asked me about how I had… been feeling which I responded with about my bout with bronchitis last month, and now an apparent sinus infection. I told him that I had been trying to book an appointment with him earlier, or get a call from his nurse, but there had not been a response from his office. No apologies on his behalf, just ...I'll look into it. Then he told me me casually the results of my blood test, indicating that my cholesterol level was still very high, asked me if I was still taking the medication he prescribed me at night, which I responded I had been using. Point blank asked me how many mgs I was taking, which I responded that I was unsure what the exact amount was, but he should have it in his notes. He then took a personal call on his cell phone in the room. From there he said he was going to give me a list of referrals for a new physician that ' will not keep you waiting'....and left the room. I just sat there completely stunned, trying to wrap my head around the whole situation of what occurred. I went to the desk to check out..still in a daze about what had just happened, the girl finishing her notes, not really looking at me, I told her I did have questions about my continuation of my prescriptions for the month out (which are pertinent to my health) as I look for a new physician. ...and I was told...with out her even looking up at me, you have a month.. I have NEVER been treated so badly by a physician, let alone dropped by one. Most of my rambling here is to get it out, get advise and also use in my complaints, which I will address soon towards this physician. I have looked into reviews about him, he has more negative than positive. Some actually mirror my experience completely. Sorry to ramble on, had to get it out.

I have been to this doctor 5 times and 4 of those times he never showed up for the appointment and finally gave up and left each time. Having a health issue as I do it is important to see him and continue to get medications. I have waited for him at one point for 2 hours with no show or communication from front desk before appoint at time of arrival or during what is going on until frustration sets in. Horrible bed side manner and took personal calls during his time with me several times. Offices staff is amazing just overshadowed by his horrible care or concern for his patients.

He walks into room in a fishing vest...should've been my clue to run. Then 2 other people walk in to help him chart because apparently doesn't know how a computer works. Did not ask my permission on having these 2 mystery people in the room. Violation of privacy! Told me I need to drink xylitol and lemon juice everyday to keep me healthy...no. Pushed supplements that he sells. Such a rude man too. One of the mystery women in the room kept making faces...I do not feel that my privacy was protected. Issue unresolved. Waste of time. When I was checking out, the person at check out said that not to worry-that I'm not the only one who's had a bad experience with him. Hmmmmm...
