Dr. Roberta D Cann, DDS

Inspired by the gentle and caring practice of her dentist-father, James Cann, D.D.S., Dr. Roberta Cann’s earliest childhood desires included becoming a dentist.  After graduating from Emory University with a B.S. in Biology she continued her studies with the Medical College of Georgia, School of Dentistry where she graduated in 1983.
Her own personal experiences with mercury toxicity sparked her interest in biocompatible dental materials and a unique understanding that elements and compounds compatible for one patient may aggravate sensitivities or allergies in another patient. Born from her desire to feel well and be well, Dr. Cann appreciates the ability to work collaboratively with patients and their health care providers to find dental solutions that work for their overall health goals.  Her basis is “respect”; respecting a patient’s requests and individual circumstances.
Dr. Cann is a member of well-honored dental organizations including the Georgia Dental Association, …Hinman Dental Society, American Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Northern District Dental Society.  She maintains active membership in The International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology and maintains professional relationships with many medical doctors in the Atlanta area whose specialty and interest includes alternatives therapies and the practice of Environmental Medicine.  In combination, Dr. Cann believes she best caters and subscribes to the highest standards of her profession while respecting the individual healthcare requests of her patients.
