I had a great experience with my BR with Dr. Gartside. Her skill as a surgeon are wonderful. When I called her on the weekend she returned my call within hours. I thank her for all she did! I would recommend her without hesitation! Dr. Gartside is a doctor with great skills as a surgeon and that is what I was looking for and I believe I found that in Dr. Gartside. I had no post- op problems, great recovery!

Dr. Gartside was wonderful. Her bedside manner was professional, but warm. She provided all of the information I needed and answered all of my questions. I had 350cc implants placed under the muscle. I felt mostly back to normal (off meds and with just a little soreness/swelling) in 4 days. They look amazing.

In 2001, after a mastectomy for DCIS, Dr. Gartside performed a tram flap reconstruction on me. She was matter of fact, with a little bit of humor, which I appreciated. She went over all my options with me, explained the pros and cons of each type of reconstructive surgery, including what to expect after the surgery and long term. Over the years, I have received so many compliments on my reconstructed breast (from other physicians - my general surgeon, GYN, oncologist, etc). She is no-nonsense, but good luck finding a surgeon who isn't. I recall only one snafu - when she was removing one of my drains, she started ripping it out before removing the last big of tape - ouch!! She was so apologetic, and I survived! Despite this, I would definitely recommend her - she's a skilled surgeon who does excellent work.

Did not follow up at the hospital to release me. Did not return emergency calls. Has no clue and seemed uninterested about any ongoing effects from chemo for breast cancer restructions! Does not work out of Fair Oaks hospital as stated in the profile. Horrible experience to go through!

surgery was not performed as discussed. documentation stated surgey other than what was provided. she refused to fix the problem at no charge. was charging thousands more to repair her mistake after spending 8 thousand prior with her when it could have been done elsewhere for 5 thousand. over priced and inaccurate. very dissatisfied. now i must go through it all over again with another doctor and pay for it all again. tramatizing. stay away. many other complaints known from acquaintences.
