I am the mother of a patient seen by Cervantes. It was a horrible experience! I felt as though we were living in a horror movie. My son received ECT from him and definitely ended up as bad or worse than the day he started. I was his driver and caregiver during the 12 treatments and and was given permission to talk with provider but 3 calls and no call backs. He under medicated him on a daily basis but ordered digs before and after procedure that made things terribly worse. After 12 we pulled him out of his care, let the evil drugs wear off and got him to Nebraska Medicine and within 4 days of being treated properly and humanely and given the right combo of drugs we started to get our son back. Beware of him and Immanuel.

I’ve had several psychiatrists in my adult life and he’s one of the most compassionate. This style doesn’t work for all but works for me.

I don't know how anyone could write a bad review about Dr. Cervantes. He is an excellent doctor and has so much compassion for his patients. I trust him with my life and would never go to another psychiatrist.

At first thought he was great I was so wrong. After 25 ECT treatments from Dec to May he still wanted to do more! Five stays in Immanuel Heritage Centers at the last stay was physically sick and was denied medical help. I would rather be commited to a mental institution than go back to him or in-patient at Immanuel. They never answer the phone at 7101 bldg never respond to messages when complained was told there was a problem with the phones. Excuses are not acceptable. Beware of him if you really need help. Finally found providers that can help!

Left worse than came ; left very broken in spirit. Not what I see as staff who cares; never had one nurse but she was rude to me the entire time Told in group safety plans were reviewed with patient at discharge. The group leader just layed mine in my room. I went on own for help but treated like a loser. Don’t think that’s what the psychiatry services are for. Choice due to broken spirit no medication, no follow up visits, no follow up treatments. Those of you with program that think you are above those who struggle I pray you will be humbled and find yourselves brought down from your high and mighty and rude attitudes.
