Dr. Roberto Estrada, MD

I saw Dr Estrada for depression, and had 30 sessions of TMS, which were life changing. I'm so grateful for the treatment, and for the care I was shown by Dr Estrada and his staff. I highly recommend.

Dr. Roberto Estrada has gone far and beyond the call. Recently, I my mother misplaced/lost her medication, I called his office, his staff was professional, kind, understanding and informed me that although Dr. Estrada was out of the state of New York, they would contact him. Well, within in 45 in minutes his office reached me and informed me that a prescription for emergency medication was sent to my mother’s pharmacy. We are forever grateful. He followed up with her when he arrived in nyc a couple of days later. For close to ten years Dr. Roberto Estrada has been my mom’s mental health doctor and she has nothing but great reviews on how he takes the time to hear her and counsel her. She would not change him for the world. His professionalism, sensitivity to the patient is outstanding. I have personally recommended him to many friends and family.

Dr Estrada is a very compassionate and caring psychiatrist. He spends time with his patients and is very concerned for their wellbeing. He says his passion is brain stimulation and that is just what he does in prescribing and overseeing the TMS treatments he recommends for his patients who has the most refractory depressions. He is also an excellent patient advocate with insurance companies; he keeps up with the work required of him in that arena and I am very appreciate of that time as well. The only downside is he is very busy, does a lot, including having practices on both coasts--I hope he doesn't burn out too quickly because he really is a great doctor.

Always busy. Had me on clonazapam 6 years, and very little therapy..Just here is the prescription, and few minutes talk..Is this guy even Board Certified?

Only interested in making money and does not have a good understanding of meds

He is really good at what he does, TMS ECT AND PSYCHIATRY i recommended him to a few of my friends and they are all satisfied with his help. The only thing I must say is he is so busy so you need to book an appointment ASAP however he is busy for a reason he still makes time i dont know how he does it he is a super man !!!

I appreciate the fact he was willing to give me ECT, but after taking me off 13 meds, including two mood stabilizers and a powerful atypical antipsychotic, he gave me only half of the ECT he agreed to. Just as I was getting better he stopped giving me the ECT, stopped returning my phone calls and stopped scheduling future appointments. I must have called him and his secretary over a dozen times in less than two weeks. He never returned my phone calls even though I said my mood was going downhill and I had no meds to turn to. When I finally got him on the phone and told him I was getting sicker he hung up on me. When I asked him to refer me to a neighboring hospital he never did so.Without his referral, I can not get ECT from any other hospital. At the height of mania season he left me hanging. This qualifies as medical malpractice in my book. He should spend his time with his patients and less time making TV appearance. He is the most erratic doctor I have ever treated with.

If only he cared as much about patients as he does about his suits.

Dr.Estrada is very, competent with understanding and listening; while grasping a full understanding your "background/foundation" of all life concerns, worries, axienties and an ongoing diagnosis of the "at hand" situations that become extremely helpful to "think" before "reacting" and deep thoughts of "why certain circumstances and tone/body language end results; wanted and unwanted. I just wish I could express my thoughts "that have been on my mind" in one session until the next visit/session; creates more anxienty (like a cliff hanger).
