The doctor made sexually inappropriate comments once while I was his patient. Made me very uncomfortable. Staff was rude. The wait time took too long! They have no regard for anyone else’s time. Zero accountability especially when it comes to medications. Just don’t go there it’s an awful place

Dr Ortiz is one of the best doctors I've had and still have I will travel to wherever he is located he knows his specialty and treats his patience as if they were family may God always bless him!!!

I can't begin to say how bad this place is. Appointments typically take 3 to 5 hours. They try to do the labs in the office as opposed to having you go to quest or another standard place. Them doing my labs in the office resulted in a 422 dollar bill which took over 20 phone calls and hours to resolve. The doctor forgot half my prescriptions. Because the labs were such a nightmare, i am going to lose out on out at least two weeks of my medicine. He refuses to refill my prescription. Awful experience.

I started going to Dr. Ortiz about 10 months ago to supervise my transgender hormone replacement therapy. During that period his practice informed me that they had lost my blood panel once and failed to retrieve it from the lab another time. The doctor had the results of only one blood panel in 10 months to monitor my health. His administrative personnel also misfiled my insurance and told me it went through, when in fact it did not. It took me several months to straitened this out with my HMO. It was eventually cleared up by my HMO which resulted in my HMO paying back bills which included the cost of two blood panels that were either lost by Dr. Ortiz practice or never retrieved from the lab. These payments were gladly received into Dr. Ortiz coffers. Two months in a row I ran out of hormones because the Doctor’s mail meds failed to send them out on time and I was without meds for a week each time. Dr. Ortiz pharmacy personnel said this would not harm my hormone regiment by going… without these meds. I have communicated with Dr. Ortiz through a portal Bliss Medical provides and he has never responded. When I arrive on time for my appointments I wait 2 to 3 hours beyond the appointment time before the doctor will see me. I have expressed my concerns a number of times to Dr. Ortiz but he shifts the conversation to something other than my medical concerns and is very hard to understand because he speaks in almost unintelligible broken English. He spends an inordinate amount of time trying to engage me in unsolicited conversations about transgender and homosexual theories he espouses and sexual opportunities for transitioned transsexuals. I have allowed this to roll off my shoulder but in light of the fact that he will not engage in a substantive conversation about my health, which is his primary fiduciary responsibility this frivolous conversation of his becomes quite annoying. I did send a portal complaint to my therapist at the clinic and it was forwarded to a counselor at the clinic. The counselor was quite apologetic and said the blood work negligence would be rectified and that they spoke to Dr. Ortiz about my concerns. The counselor informed me that Dr. Ortiz was unaware of my concerns and would respond to them to my satisfaction. It has been over 6 weeks and still no blood work results and an ambivalence of this doctor about my health in his management of my HRT. I also shared my concerns with a few people in the Orlando transgender community, but many of his patients are indigent and receive hormones and services from his clinic through a grant. In a nutshell, no one wants to say anything because they do not want to risk losing their services and hormone therapy.

Dr. Ortiz goes above and beyond his to help his patients. He cares about his patients over the dollar signs. He spends time with me and listens. He's caring and knowledgeable and I finally have a doctor I can trust!

Dr.Ortiz is absolutely beyond a shadow of dought. The best specialist I have ever had the privilege of seeing. He has a great bedside manner and takes time to explain all your options. I have had him as my specialist for over ten years now.
