Dr. Robin Ashinoff, MD

I was referred to Dr. Ashinoff by my dermatologist for MOHS surgery. At the first meeting she made me feel welcome. She thouroghly explained the procedure I needed to have done. Her personality is by far exceptional and makes you feel so relaxed and at ease. My procedure went well and I would refer her to anyone who needs a skin cancer procedure.

I saw Dr. Ashinoff yesterday for the first time and had a wonderful experience in her office. The receptionists were pleasant and accommodating. The nurses were efficient and very professional. Despite being extremely busy Dr. Ashinoff took a great deal of time to do a detailed exam, explain my problem, and discuss all alternative treatments so that I might make an informed decision about my care. In addition to being very thorough and knowledgeable Dr. Ashinoff has a great sense of humor that lightened the atmosphere and actually made the encounter fun. She put me at ease and made me feel very comfortable. I will continue under her care and would highly recommend her to everyone

This surgeon really knows her business! She is tops in her field. Her staff is excellent too!

Wonderful doctor and staff.

This doctor came into the room and immediately said I dont do body exams. I cant see you for any follow up, I only do surgery. Hello, nice to meet you too!. Very cold. Bitter. One word answers to my questions. When she left she did not even look at me and walked out of the room. None of this was provoked. She is very unprofessional or has serious problems in her personal/professional life.

I had a wonderul experience at Dr. Ashinoff's office. The staff was pleasant and professional. Dr. Ashinoff spent a great deal of time explaining my problem and discussing the treatment plan. I was extremely impressed with her expertise and patience as she answered all my questions. I hate going to doctors but I can truly say my visit to Dr. Ashinoff was actually pleasurable. I would highly recommend her to anyone requiring dermatologic or cosmetic proceedure

Dr. Ashinoff came highly recommended. To say the least I was not impressed at all. I found her bedside manner was atrocious. The whole visit she had her head buried in the computer with her back to me. How attently could she be listening to me when she's reading the computer!? Asking me the same questions that I had already given the nurse which was in the computer that she was looking at! What a waste of time that was. In the end she referred me to a different surgeon. Why? I still can't figure that one out. Especially because she told me that surgery may not be a good option for me right now! She didn't offer any other options for my condition. If i didn't ask her what my options are she would have just sent me on my way. I found she's judgemental and unattentive. Most people know their own bodies and how they react to different things when it comes to their health. She totally ignored that information I gave her and went with statistics instead!! Maybe she just wasn't listening to… me because she had her head in the computer which is why i have a problem with doctors that do that. I have a problem with doctors that don't listen to their patients either. I'm not just a statistic. Everyone is different when it comes to their bodies. I would never recommend this doctor. I worked in NYC for years and went to doctors there now and then. I've never been treated like Dr. Ashinoff treated me. There are plenty of other Dr.s out there that are just as good or better then people say she is and I sought them out and found a great one..Thank you very much. she said surgery may not be a good option for me. I had to ask what are the other options?? Basically she left me hanging. I waited a month for the appointment and I left there feeling like she just shushed me away as if she couldn't be bothered. I was so upset and felt so lost. I didn't know what to do or where to go next. The staff was terrific and they tried to help where the Dr. was lacking. She may be a good plastic surgeon, but it looks like her repatation has built her up and it inflated her ego. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Ashinoff. There are plenty of Plastic Surgeons out there that are just as good or even better.

My experience at Dr Ashinoff's office had to have been one of the best I have ever had. The office staff was professional, courteous and efficient and Dr. Ashinnoff was caring, considerate and extremely thorough. She allayed my fears about my problem and explained everything in clear, understandable language. She not only diagnosed and treated me appropriately, but she also went to great lengths to coordinate my care with a plastic surgeon and my general dermatologist. She also called me personally the night of my surgery which is unheard of in todays world. I have never seen such a conscientious, intelligent, and thorough physician. I would highly recommend Dr. Ashinoff.
