Cannot speak to the medical expertise. She will only see patients who are willing to leave personal financial information, i.e. credit card data on file indefinitely. Doctor did not have the courtesy to discuss this directly when requested, despite being a return patient.

I took my daughter to see Dr. Borkowsky because she had several warts that needed to be treated. We waited for 45 minutes to be seen. The doctor was rushed and surly, and lectured my daughter about how to avoid getting warts in the future. My daughter left feeling upset and responsible for the problem. To make matters worse, she did not treat the warts nearly aggressively enough and they returned soon after the visit. We had to go to another dermatologist to have them treated properly. Since the visit, I have read that the doctor has had her patient information compromised. I will certainly not be returning to see her as she clearly has her own problems that seem to keep her from properly interacting with and treating her patients.

Dr Borkowsky is fantastic and I’m convinced that she saved my life (or at least my foot!). I came into her office 32 weeks pregnant after having returned from a work trip to India with two very swollen toes. I thought it was a reaction to a bug bite but figured it was better to be safe than sorry and have a professional take a look. I was able to get a last minute appointment on ZocDoc, she was very prompt and spent a considerable amount of time with me in the appointment going through my medical history and trying to determine the cause of the swelling / bruising on my left foot. At first glance it seemed like Cellulitis, so she prescribed me some ointments and antibiotics after consulting with my OBs and told me to check in with her in two days (friday). When I came back on Friday, unfortunately there were no positive changes to my foot and I was unable to walk because the toes were so swollen. We decided to wait another day or two to see if anything changed, and Dr Borkowsky gave me… her personal contact information in case anything happened over the weekend. When things continued to get worse, I texted her and she quickly responded Sunday morning. It was her assessment that I needed to check into the ER and be put on IV antibiotics immediately. I am so thankful that I took her advice because we later found at the hospital that my infection was likely caused by MRSA which if left untreated can have a very bad outcome. I ended up spending three days at the hospital and Dr Borkowsky made sure to check in with me everyday to see how I was doing. I wouldn’t have taken the infection as seriously if it weren’t for Dr Borkowsky and I’m so thankful for her bluntness with me, availability over the wknd and genuine compassion. It’s hard to find a doctor that will spend more than five seconds with you, let alone check in with you over the weekend or while you’re at the hospital. I didn’t originally expect to find a new dermatologist on ZocDoc, but I’m so happy that I stumbled across Dr Borkowsky because I’ll be a patient for life! I would highly recommend her!

I was referred to Dr. Borkowsky by a good friend of mine (also a doctor). I saw her for a mole check. She was very thorough, being the first dermatologist to check between my toes and on my scalp. Luckily she did this because she found an abnormal mole on my scalp that needed to be removed. Since then, I have also seen her for Botox treatments. She is very gentle and makes me look very natural. I look 5 years younger! She has treated many of my friends now and they all rave about her, too.

I'm so lucky that my friend referred me to Dr. Borkowsky. I have seen many dermatologists for acne over the past few years. Most simply wrote a bunch of prescriptions and ran from the room. Dr. Borkowsky spent a long time examining me, explaining what each medication did and exactly how to use it. I have now been seeing her for several months and my skin has improved dramatically. I recommend her to all of my friends!

I've seen Dr. Borkowsky multiple times over the past several years. Not only has she found several abnormal moles on my body which could have eventually become cancerous, but she has also helped clear up my skin. I suffered from acne for years. Her regimen worked wonders for me and included topical creams and chemical peels. I noticed a patient who said she had "burning" from peels. I'm sure Dr. Borkowsky mentioned that to her in the consent form which has been given to me each time I've had a peel. I personally have had amazing results. I have recommended her to so many colleagues and friends who all adore her. That one negative review is probably from some unhappy person who would not have been satisfied no matter what Dr. Borkowsky did to help her.

Unlike the other reviews, my complaint is about the doctor herself rather than her staff. I'll apologize in advance for it's length, but when I give one star, I want to justify it completely. I went in to take care of some acne scars with a light chemical peel. I had done it before so I didn't think there would be a problem. Dr. Borkowsky seemed very confident in what she was doing. So I gave her all the facts. I told her exactly what I've had before, and I told her I'd be going on vacation the next week. She said that it would be no problem and gave me the higher dose. Instantly, my entire face was on fire. She said it was natural. I told her that it was getting unbearable but she said that she would fan me so that I could feel some relief (she did not remove the acid). She said that the acid was neutralize itself and that I shouldn't worry about the intense burning I was feeling on my face. "That will go away," she said.When I got to work, the pain was still there. I was so… uncomfortable so I decided to check myself out in the bathroom. I was horrified at what I saw-- my face was charred black; I truly looked like a burn victim. Of course, I immediately went back to her office in the middle of my work day. She saw me after making me wait for about 30 mins and the only thing she said was that she has never seen this reaction from anyone before. I had to go home, not leave the house for a week (seriously, an entire week. My boss was kind enough to let me work from home). I had to apply tons of cream on my face. And eventually, my skin started peeling. After it peeled, my face started bleeding. After the bleeding stopped, half of my face turned black. And now, I'm in the process of seeking alternative treatment/ getting used to it. I understand freak accidents happen, but the worst part of all of this was this doctor's callous attitude. She immediately started putting the blame on me, and after I asked her for a refund (because my make up and medication was costing 3x as much as the peel), she refused and said that these things happen. I would think that after seeing what she did to my face, she would at least feel bad enough to reimburse me a stinking $100. So my advice to you is to try a doctor who hasn't scarred a person for life and shed herself from any responsibility of it.

Dr. Borkowsky was very friendly and had good bedside manner. She was patient and knew what the issue was and gave the appropriate medicine for it. Getting an appointment was quick and easy. Her receptionist seems unorganized and slow.
