Dr. Robin Alisa Edwards, MD

Please read this before seeing this doctor. Here's an abbreviated overview of my visit to have my IUD replaced with Dr. Edwards and her nurse. I was prescribed misoprostole to dilate my cervix (usually considered and unnecessary thing to do for someone with an IUD). I arrived at the office in a lot of pain from the misoprostole. 32 minutes after my appointment time I was rudely asked to pee in a cup and then held it for 15 minutes.Then they took me into the procedure room. Dr. Edwards was able to remove my IUD no problem and then she started poking around my cervix with a tool to try and clear the path of scar tissue. She was not telling me anything and continued to poke around causing me huge pain for over 10 mins. I asked MULTIPLE TIMES what was going on. I felt out of control of my own body and begged her to stop she said "well if you can't tolerate it that's what we'll tell your insurance". It was a disgrace to be treated this way by other humans, let alone a doctor that I trusted

Dr robin Edwards called me and left a voicemail on my phone to cancel my appointment less than 24 hrs in advance. (I had made my appointment over a week ago). In her message she stated that is was due to a clerical error. I then spent several hours on the phone trying to re schedule, finally got through after being sent to some random mans voice mailbox several times. I was told this was because they were having issues with their phone system. I finally was rescheduled for the same day at a later time. I then sat in the waiting room for almost two hours to be turned away. Dr. Robin Edwards does not even have an ultrasound machine or even do ultrasounds. Also, that she does not even do baby deliveries. How is she an OB??? She doesn’t do OB services!!! Two days prior to this, I spent 5 hours in an ER diagnosed with a “threatened miscarriage”. The ER doctor sent me home after giving me my RH negative injection. She told me that it was imperative that I see an OB right away for further… evaluation. I was terrified and looked to this doctor for help. Her nurse turned me away, and told me to go back to the ER, that she couldn’t do anything for me. The next available appointment that I can get is two weeks away. I called the ER that she referred me to-they don’t have an OB on staff to see me. So here I am, terrified that I’ve lost my baby, bleeding with heavy cramps and unable to see another doctor anytime soon. This not now how patients should be treated!!!! People go to doctors for help!!! Not to be turned away terrified. I do not recommend that anyone pregnant book an appointment with her...why would you, she will cancel on you with less than 24 hours notice and she has no ultrasound machine in her office. What’s the point?!?!? Also, why sit in her waiting room for two hours or more??? Not even a bottled water machine. Pregnant women are supposed to stay hydrated!!! When I asked the receptionist about a glass of water-she told me no. I later flagged down some other employee that brought me a bottled water. This place was no helpful in the slightest. Go some place else, your baby will thank you.
