Dr. Robin Lucas, MD

Dr. Lucas was following me to screen for lung cancer. Positive family history and former smoker. She cared about me, I'm sure. Crazy reviews on here. Either 5 stars or 1. Tells me she is an excellent doctor who had a couple of cranky patients. I'm a nurse for 40 years so I know something about this, she is the one I'd go to to save my life, if I needed it.

LOVE my doctor....I drive a considerable distance to see her and the office staff is always very accommodating giving me a later in the morning appointment to fit my schedule. It's easy to get an appointment, she is very attentive but short and sweet/to the point, which I like.

Dr. Lucas is very thorough and took the time to explain my problem in layman's terms. Whenever I called her office she got back to me in a timely manner. Her staff is very efficient and courteous.

My initial visit went very well. Since I am in the medical profession there are certain criteria that I follow in assessing a new doctor. Dr. Lucas met all those requirements. I was treated very well. Upon leaving her office I felt confident she understood my problem and treated me adequately. A week passed and I wasn't feeling any better so I called the office to see what the next step would be. Spoke with Dr. Lucas briefly ...conversation "Oh, I got it wrong" was given an app't following day. That's when everything changed. I'm not even quite sure how to describe my visit. My husband accompanied me and was shocked at what took place. Dr. Lucas read her notes on me from the first visit and they mentioned none of the systems I presented with. She then became indignant, admonishing me and even stated I must have been taking my medication improperly. I became upset (wasn't feeling well). She washed her hands of me and sent me to an ear, nose and throat doctor. My assessment… of this second visit was that I was belittled, yelled at and made to feel like it was all my fault. Never in all my years of working for and going to doctors have I encountered someone so crass and dismissive. Needless to say I would not recommend her to anyone. Initial appearances are not always what they seem.

She and her associate, DR.Mickey, hsve gotten me out of some pretty life threatining situations.I would recomend that office in a heartbeat. The Doctors, as well as the office sraff ,are caring and will never rush you
