Dr. Robin Suzanne Midian, MD

Dr. Midian did my colonoscopy and endoscopy. She is rude, dismissive, will not spend the time of day explaining anything to you and is less than thorough when it comes to listening to or managing your health issues. Such a waste of time and money for the careless service she provided. I feel like I need a total redo because of my health risks. If you're thinking of going to her, just don't. I wouldn't let her do a procedure on my dog.

I arrived 10 minutes early for my scheduled appointment For a colonoscopy at the Endoscopy Center where Midian is the Medical Director. I was told that the doctor was running an hour late. I watched several people Who arrived after me and whose appointments were scheduled after mine (I asked) be taken back for their colonoscopy. After waiting 2.5 hours (and not eating for over 36 hours) I finally asked nurse Nikki why I had not been called back for my procedure. Nikki’s response was “we move people around all the time” - even people whose appointments were scheduled after mine. I also witnessed the LPN at the front to be both rude and disrespectful to several patients waiting for their procedures. You decide if you would want to be treated this way. There are many excellent gastroenterologists in Pittsburgh. Stay away from this doctor and her clinic. Her reviews should be enough to scare anyone away. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of not looking at the reviews until after this… very unfortunate incident. Don’t make the same mistake I did!

Dr Midian deferred to the opinion of the "Rent a Nurse" (all anesthesia personnel are outsourced at the North Shore Endoscopy Center) during a recent procedure. She never introduced herself to me; she never verified the opinion of the technician; she never made her own assessment. Until we demanded an explanation, she was incommunicado and would have remained so. We were paying for the services of a physician who should have been the responsible medical supervisor. Anything less than this standard is unacceptable in a medical facility.

The doctor is well skilled and professional.

My overall experience with this doctor was very poor, to say the least. Would not recommend her to anyone. Have found a better doctor that was able to help me with my problem.
