Dr. Robin Lee Odell, DO

Let me be the first to say that I am not a doctor person. I am very anxious and nervous in any type off medical setting. I am a very conservative person and if you understand that then you can understand the nervousness that would come with being in a gynecologist office. However my experinece at Womens Medical Center was so great. This was the first time I have ever been to a gyncologist office so I was extremely anxious and didn’t know what to expect. With that said, by far the best experience I have ever had in a doctor office and with a doctor. I see Dr. O’Dell and I couldn’t be more impressed with her. She has exceeded excellence at every appointment I have had thus far with her. She is great at putting you at ease. She will explain exactly what is going to go down and makes sure you know that your voice is heard. She has this very calm and caring demeanor. Extremely gentle, understanding, and LISTENS. I cannot stress that enough, she listens and she takes the time to listen. That… right there deserves 100 stars. It seems like it is nonexistent to find a doctor these days who is going to give you the time you need with them one on one. Dr. O’Dell does this. She is extremely competent and knowledgable in her area of expertise and beyond. She explains things very well and puts them into terms that are very easy to understand if you are not familiar with the terminology. There are many things that I love about Dr. O’Dell, but one inparticular is that she is real. I love that I feel like I am gaining a relationship with another real human being. I have never felt like that when talking to a doctor. I always feel inferior and rushed. I always feel as if most doctors do not care to get to know me or they do not have the time to. But that isn’t the case here. I do not feel like I am just another number. And that is hugely important to me. I am the type of person who needs the personable experience and connection to open up and trust the person who is caring for me. Dr. O’Dell nails this. She truly wants to make that personal connection to get to know her patients. She is doing everything right in my opinion and I am extremely grateful to have found such a great doctor. She is the type of doctor that I want in my corner. One that I feel I can turn to and discuss sensitive stuff with and actually get some where towards solving the issues. She has been very helpful at approaching the issues I need help with. Dr. O’Dell is compassionate and shows that to her patients. She is very relatable and easy to talk to. I truly feel like I am in very good hands under the care of Dr. O’Dell. I wish she was my everything Doctor (I am sure this is not the first time someone has said those words). You just do not come across the good ones often and she is a good one. In regards to the office, this office makes me feel welcomed. It feels very close knit. Very tailored to your individual needs. I like how it has this warm neighborly love that you feel from the staff and doctors. The nurses I have seen have also been very competent in their duties. They are always very kind and respectful. Any time I call I am greeted with a kind voice on the other end. I have talked with the nurse over phone and did not have any issues with ordering labs she was very knowledgeable and helpful in getting labs sent out for me. Any labs that need to be ordered are ordered in a timely manner. As soon as my results come in I hear back from them. I want to give a special shout out to Medical Receptionist Krysta Brubaker. Krysta has been an amazing help for me. She is incredibly kind, caring, and compassionate. She makes it very clear that I can ask any questions I may need to ask. She is great at answering any and all of my questions and seeks out the Doctor to double check on questions she may be unsure of. She is also very great at putting my mind at ease when I am stressing about particular things. She has been awesome with scheduling me for my appointments. It is always a very easy process. She is a true blessing and is great at making patients feel welcomed and cared for. I can’t thank these wonderful women enough for just being so kind to me. This office just makes things easy and I like easy when it comes to stressful things. So if you are looking for a excellent OBGYN doctor/office look no further. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this Practice from the experince I have had there. They are doing a very excellent job at their jobs. They are nailing it. So keep doing great guys. Your hard work isn't going unseen. You are very much appreciated by this redhead.

All of my appointments felt rushed, and I had to ask a lot of questions to get the info I needed. When I visited her office I felt like I wasn’t important because I didn’t have a baby growing inside of me. I know that in OBGYN practices (and all medical settings) patients will be prioritized based on a variety of things, but I felt like an inconvenience at every appointment with Dr. Odell. She was also very dismissive of the severe pain I experienced long after my IUD was inserted. I would recommend seeing a different physician for contraceptive services.

Just had her deliver my first son, Loved her the entire time I had to go in! Hands down the best doctor I have ever had. She is straight forward, honest, very approachable, and she has a good, goofy sense of humor. She explains things fast but if you have questions she will always answer them, usually casually sitting on the counter in the office. Be warned, sometimes her office wait time can get long, especially when she is on call, but she is totally worth it!

Dr. O'Dell has been my doctor for nearly 9 years and delivered two of my children. She treats me like family - a doc that truly cares and makes you feel it. I love her!

Dr. Odell is professional, yet very personable and kind. She made me and my family feel very comfortable. I love her as my Doctor SO much, I returned to Michigan from Alaska to have my second baby after having such a great experience with her during my first! She's amazing!

Dr. O'Dell is very easy to form a relationship with and talks to you in a human to human conversation rather than all doctor talk. She is very caring and truly cares about her patients, I've been a patient of her's for 4 years and I view her as a friend not just a doctor. I have no complainments about her.
