Dr Robyn Fossey

Robyn Fossey, M.D., J.D., M.B.A., is the director of hospital medicine at City of Hope® Cancer Center Phoenix, where she leads a team of physicians and nurses who are committed to ensuring that patients receive compassionate, exceptional care during their stay at our Arizona hospital. Dr. Fossey’s goal is that, when patients return home, they feel well cared for and confident about their future health.Dr. Fossey’s approach to care is founded on kindness, compassion and respect. She and her team provide personalized clinical care for patients with a wide range of health concerns or conditions, including those recovering from treatment and those experiencing cancer-related side effects. She is also passionate about ensuring that nurses and doctors have enough time with each patient to support them fully during their recovery.After competing her medical degree at the Avalon University School of Medicine in Curaçao, Dr. Fossey completed a residency in family medicine with a focus on …hospital medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. During this time, she also served as chief resident. Her other medical training includes a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases and genetics, completed at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. There, Dr. Fossey worked with a team who developed effective and safe approaches to using data gathered from electronic health records to assist with large-scale genomic research.Prior to embarking on her clinical career, Dr. Fossey also earned a law degree at Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, as well as a master’s in business administration at Davenport University in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
