Dr. Robyn Leith Haithcock, DO

I had a "follow-up" appointment with Dr. Haithcock recently. My previous encounters were not great but I was willing to try again. After spending almost 3 minutes with me and confirming that nothing had changed since the last visit I was told that I needed to be tested for Hep C (with NO risk factors) and that I needed to come back in 6 months. The paperwork I was handed that I read later said that we discussed a number of other things that have never been discussed and I was billed $160 for an office visit. I will not be returning to him. He is abrupt, aloof and never looked up from his laptop.

Had to wait over an hour after my appointment time to be seen. Saw Dr. Haithcock for about 1 minute who checked my heart and abdomen over my clothes and clearly thought I wasn't worth his time. Failed to look me in the eye when he recited the risks of a colonoscopy he had memorized from a textbook. Left me with a "any questions" and half-assed handshake. Even if a Doc thinks they are wasting their time, they still need to treat people like human beings. Do not recommend this guy. Very bad first impression.

Our first consult, he gets upset that I don't know the exact name of the OTC stool softener I was taking. Then started going off on me smoking. That's not his field, don't know why he even went there. Our "appointment" lasted maybe 90 seconds and he was off to the next patient who also smoked and I could hear him in there berating that guy too. He forced a smile and left. Didn't say one word about the procedure. Don't want someone that angry doing what he has to do.

I've seen Dr. Haithcock several times, always nice and really seems to care. Very professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him.
