I Would Recommend My Family And Friends

A total nightmare. I've been to 5 specialists from Manhattan to Duke University...they all agree and some say I'm not the first of her patients to come in to see them with post-op problems. I found one surgeon who will try to fix the damage this Friday. For your own sake DO NOT SEE HER!

Dr. Vargo is amazing. She took a potential amputation and with surgery corrected the problem. I saw her when she was at Hinsdale and was so disapointed when she left. I would seriously consider going to her new office to see her if a problem arose.

Had foot surgery was told if i was a women she would have taken more care how the toes looked. Was told my big toe would straighten out after swelling went down, never did. may need another surgery.

Dr. Vargo performed surgery on my broken leg in 1998 after a bicycle accident. Both tibia and fibula were broken just below knee and required 4 hours of surgery. Dr. Vargo saved my knee and has provided me with years, now, of almost pain-free walking. I will be forever grateful to her!

I had been born with severe case of what was known as club feet, and as a baby my right foot had been casted a bit crooked. Over the many years I have lived with so much pain and as I got older the pain got worse. I have seen many doctors over the years and they would tell me that they could fuse the bones and ease some of the pain but this would cause less movement of my foot. Having very little movement as it was I feared I would become possibly worse. After my nephew had a severe ankle break and Dr. Vargo worked wonders with him my family pushed me into seeing Dr. Vargo. After xrays and the exam Dr. Vargo explained that this would be a lengthy surgery and that she could assure me of about 85% less pain. I took the chance and the two surgeries on my foot netted me a new life. I have no more pain, foot is straight, and I have more movement than I ever had in all my years. Yes doctor Vargo to me was God sent as she was able to give me a new lease on my life style and after 3… years I am now going in and having my other foot operated on, with having similar issues mostly pain. I cannot say enough about her as a doctor, I applaud her professionalism, her bedside manners are super and mostly an extremely intelligent and well trained surgeon. I thank you Dr. Vargo and would recommend her to anyone. Sorry I could not give her a higher rating as this was all I was allowed, she would get more if I could.

Dr. Vargo performed a bunionectomy on me about 5 years ago. The foot healed beautifully and I have been pain free since the surgery. She was the consumate professional, answered my questions and performed the procedure without a hitch. I highly recommend her to anyone considering such an operation. She specializes in feet and I felt my feet were in excellent hands (no pun intended).I was disappointed that the rating list on Vitals.com above doesn't even mention the efficacy of the treatment received. Who cares how long you have to wait in a waiting room? A good doctor should be a busy one, who takes the necessary time to attend to each patient. Your rating system should include and evaluation of the most important thing a doctor provides - treatment.
