Dr. Roderic Lloyd Woodson, MD

Dr. Woodson treats my entire family for a genetic kidney disorder. He has taken excellent care of all of us. Dr. Woodson is one of the most thorough and professional doctors I have ever had. He is always current and up-to-date on the latest medical practices and knowledge. He has excellent bedside manners and genuinely cares about his patients. Granted that the wait time is not always perfect but I am confident that he is giving other patients the same expert care that he gives to me and my family.

Dr Woodson is a wonderful young intelligent up to date on the latest medical information and had saved my father life!!!!! My father old primary care doctor had him on multiple medications that Led him into kidney failure but when we went to dr Woodson he help my father with a wonderful Health plan to get his kidney back up to normal range and my father is not on all of his 10 medications that his old primary care had him on any more!!!! Yes he can be alittle behind on time but what doctor isn't I feel that the time I waited on him to see my father was all worth waiting on!!! He is a specialist so I understand at times it is hard to get up an appointment, but the young lady at the front is so nice and kind and will try her hardest to get you in as soon as there are cancellations. I believe Dr. Woodson also has dialysis units that he works out of and also works out of Piedmont Hospital so he is very busy but all that being said once he is in the room with you he will answer all your… questions and concerns and make you feel like you are the only patient he has. I have been a patient for over 3 years now and I cannot say anything but good things about Dr. Woodson and his staff. He is a caring, compassionate, and a knowledgeable doctor that is highly recommended by many.

I can't say enough about how Dr. Woodson has taken such good care of me, he basically saved my life. When I first came to him I was in a very bad position medically and through time and his treatment plan I am almost back to normal. I cannot thank him and his wonderful staff enough. He genuinely cares about his patients and his time and effort shows.

Making an appointment is quit easy. Just pick your day and time. The staff is courteous and friendly. The only issue that needs to be worked on is promptness. You will never been seen at your scheduled appointment time.

Does not value his patients. Will be looking for a new doctor that had my best interest at heart

Dr. Woodson is a great doctor I find he is just too busy from referrals and trying to grow his practice. He is pulled too thin and I mean that literally as well. Shows up at hospital at 10:00 to see patients, works like no doctor I have ever seen. Incredibly smart.

Dr. Woodson, a new physician, took over the solo practice of Dr. Eda Hochgelerent, an established, recognized health care expert who had a long and successful career by the time of her retirement at year end 2008. She consequently had a full patient load at Piedmont when she stepped down. The difficulties I noted with overloaded front office personnel and apparent overbooking of patients may just be a problem of Dr. Woodson's lack of experience in practice management. Here's hoping that with time (and maybe adding an experienced private-practice physician to his office and another receptionist), the patient/customer care problems will improve. The fact that Dr. Hochgelerent chose Woodson as successor speaks very positively to his qualifications for the job!

Nice guy, but does not follow up after you leave the office. Seems too busy to do important follow up in all aspects. Anything you need done should be accomplished while in the office, don't count on getting response after you leave.
