Dr. Roderick Duston Warren, MD

Had a excellent experience with Dr Warren. He was very professional and friendly. He explained everything and performed surgery promptly and did not waste any time.

Have to wait for them to call with an apt time less than 24 hours before the scheduled apt which makes it very difficult to take time off of work. Dr. looked like he walked in off of the street, wearing shorts, tennis shoes and a ball cap. Looked very unprofessional.

After doing an appendectomy on our teen-aged boy, Dr. Roderick Warren told the mother that there was cloudy fluid in his (the boy's) abdomen, but it was "No Big Deal" (repeated several times). Our boy came within hours of dying one week later. ALL of his intestines were infected. He was taken to Stormont-Vail Hospital by ambulance. The good surgeon (not Warren!) said when he started to open the abdomen pus spurted out. The good surgeon could not tell one organ from another due to infection. The bowels were adhered to the abdominal wall. Our boy couldn't even breath on his own. He was on a respirator and in critical care for many, many days. He remains in the hospital, but is finally out of critical care. He cannot walk more than a few paces. He has had TWO additional surgeries to repair the damage done by Warren. His abdomen could not be closed after the first surgery because the swelling was too great. When finally closed, he had FIVE drains in his belly. The pain he has… suffered is beyond description. His incision is from pubis to chest. Thanks to the ability of the good surgeon, our boy will live. He still cannot eat, but makes incrimental progress every day. DO NOT trust Warren...his bedside manner is overbearing and pompus. His ability to see a catastrophy of his own making is nil.
