She is not very knowledgeable on the subject of mental health. She does not care about her patients needs. When you try to explain what you are feeling she ignores you and has the "I'm the doctor and I know better than you" attitude. She's very hard to talk to and belittling. Do you go to her.

Dr. Brisan misdiagnosed illness. Because she could not find the right diagnoses, I was labeled bipolar, borderline personality disorder and schizophrenia. She put me through the torcher of two ECT treatments for nine months. She prescribe pills to make me sleep, to keep me awake, psychotic pills. I was on 20 pills a day. When family members told her to stop the treatments, her responds was "she would get the courts involved". She quit the ECTs when a co-clinic doctor told her to stop because after all these months, nothing has worked. I even was sent to a state institution for three months. They did not know what I had but I was not psychotic and took me off most of the meds. In one of my early hospital stays, a cardiologist ran a tilt table test which showed an autonomic disfunction or Dysautonomia. Did she take this information, NO. If she had, I would not have had to endured all those months of ECTs.

Very accomodating. Puts the patient first. Not intimidated to give her opinion. Very informative and attentive, listens to the patients experience and follows through. Kind and caring....Glad to have found her.

Dr. Brian spent an hour finding out about my history to current mental health. She was professional and caring.

Dr. Brisan recommends ECT unreservedly. She does not respect a PATIENT'S RIGHT to question, let alone refuse treatment. In my particular case, she showed herself to be petty and vindictive. Dr. Brisan lied to cover-up her poor judgement on more than one occasion. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone.

I was referred to Dr. Brisan after my first psychiatrist in my local area was failing miserably at helping me. Dr. Brisan is kind, caring, listens, and talented. She has helped me so much and continues to help me when I have no insurance. She is the best specialist I have ever had and I like her more than my primary care that I have had for 20 years. Thank you, Dr. Brisan, for being the shoulder, eyes, and ears that I have needed for so long.

I have been seeing Doctor Brison for several years for treatment of panic attacks. I am very satisfied with the results. My problem which was becoming very debilitating is well controlled. Dr. Brison has a friendly but efficient manner and, most importantly, she is very knowledgeable about my issues and the options for dealing with them. I recommend her highly.

Jackie, Dr. Brisnan's gatekeeper, is the single most difficult medical office staff I've ever encountered. Dr. Brisnan is competent, but competent doesn't compensate for Jackie so I've switched to another doctor. The ridiculous argumentative circular conversations to get an appointment were simply counterproductive.
