RODNEY D. FAIR, OD, FAAO, grew up in Brighton, attended Hastings College in Nebraska and the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, California. After graduating in 1982, Dr. Fair attended the State University of New York in New York City for a residency in pediatric vision and vision therapy. He now serves patients at Brighton Eye Associates.
Dr. Fair is active in the community, being a member of the Kiwanis Club, the Chamber of Commerce, and the First Presbyterian Church. He is a past president of the Colorado Optometric Association. He has received the Young Optometrist of the Year award, the Optometrist of the Year award, the Distinguished Optometrist award, and for the 1990’s, he was named Optometrist of the Decade.
Dr. Fair is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, of which only 10% of optometrists have qualified for membership. An extensive course of case report writing and passing an examination is required for membership. The goal of the Academy …of Optometry is to promote excellence and lifelong learning.
He is a member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development and has an interest in children’s vision and learning, ocular disease treatment and contact lenses.
