PLEASE KEEP AWAY! This monster conjured me into an unwarranted surgery. I did not sign for any of the procedures he performed. They were against hospital rules. And after I got records from a plethora of tests, I found out surgery wasn’t needed. Also performed a lung biopsy when I was seeing him for pain. He is a liar. He severed clamped and cauterized parts of my thoracic spine. I suffer beyond imagination as a result of this surgery and my life is spent in hospitals where top specialists cannot even help me as I continue to decline.. organ failure...unimaginable. He took a life for no reason then left two weeks later.

PLEASE AVOID THIS DOCTOR! Performed surgery on my daughter that should have never have been done. She had super low iron, thyroid, and body mass index levels, in addition an ABNORMAL EKG!She has suffered unbearably from nerves he severed,even been on palliative care, and has to see neuro specialists for her stomach and eyes. GET A SECOND OPINION BEFORE YOU LET HIM DO ANYTHING!

he performed lung surgery on me almost 14 yrs ago, removed right lung and inserted radiation seeds. I made a full recovery.

He's an excellent Doctor. He's Very knowledgeable, friendly, thorough, professional yet down-to-earth and very welcoming. He has an excellent staff who are kind and courteous and follow up with you. I would recommend him 100%.

If possible - my experience with this doctor would receive zero stars. It took me another six months to go through the process of finding and testing for another surgeon, but I made the right decision. Thankfully my lung cancer stayed encapsulated during this time even though it had tripled in size.

One very important thing that the scheduling staff fails to tell you is to pack a lunch and a beverage for you and whoever may be with you. Please, please, please...bring any medications with you that you need to take before 7pm. Especially if you have high blood pressure or are a diabetic. And if you have a generous heart, pack an extra sandwich & drink for that poor soul that didn't read this review or take it seriously.

So he was late (uhhh TWO HOURS) to my appointment, and he didn't bother to tell me that he was changing hospitals and I wouldn't ever see him after my major lung surgery! HOWEVER, he's a great surgeon. He performed a complicated surgery that others said couldn't be done. And I have NO nerve damage -- NO complications. SO, I'd find him in PA if I could. Most surgeons have a "god complex," no? I don't care. He is a GREAT surgeon.

Dr. Landreneau performed a VATS ULL procedure when my "home" surgeon said it couldn't be done. I healed perfectly and have had very little nerve pain. We did wait OVER TWO HOURS to see him, but I'd go back to him because of my result. I must have been his last patient at Ochsner, because he didn't do any followup with me after surgery. No one told me what was going on and it took several days before I figured it out! That was annoying. So in short, I think Dr. Landreneau has the all-too-typical surgeon's god complex, but whatever. He's a great surgeon, so I guess he has a right. Like I said, I'd see him again if I ever need a thoracic surgeon -- hopefully not!

I had a procedure done, and when I had questions or concerns everything was handeled. He had moved out of the area and I am hoping he has returned so I can go back to him.
