Dr. Oakes is one off the best doctors we have in Somerset.

I have been a patient of Dr. Oakes for 14 years. I have a medical background and look for more than just bedside manner. Dr. Oakes is always spot on with his focus and diagnosis. And, yes, his beside manner is great! He spends all the time I need, even when I try to rush things a long because I am sensitive to his schedule. I went to him for abdominal pain almost 3 years ago. He suspected a mass in my abdomen (even though I am no little man to palpate), had me in a CT scan in 2 hours and got me to a cancer center for a workup. Aggressive lymphoma. I was immediately started into an intense chemotherapy and treatment - which has been successful. My oncologist says she thinks I am home free. Dr. Oakes has been very involved in my care throughout and cared for all my various side issues. It has been a trip, but Dr. Oakes and his nurse Brenda are awesome. I am back to normal now, thanks to my excellent care. As far as one star off for promptness, Dr. Oakes is sometimes behind. That is… because he cares for his patients and doesn't cut the visit short. Nobody should get upset about a long wait. Be thankful they care or go to a clinic in Walmart!

Always friendly and makes me feel like I am his only patient. My family places full confidence in him.

Dr. Oakes has taken care of our family for many years and almost seems like a family member. He has always been there when we need him. Great bedside manner and very caring.
