I wanted to thank you for lying to help get my disability claim from the VA approved. Your plan of misdiagnosing me so I could file a claim against the VA worked and it did not take as long as you thought. I don't know where you are now but was hoping to thank you personally. I know some other vets you did the same for. Hopefully that isn't why you were forced to resign from the VA.

I write this to counteract these ridiculous reviews on Dr. Swenson. For years, I was his patient who, along with many people I know, was very disappointed when he went from private practice to the VA, because we could no longer go to him. He was caring, concerned, and involved. Took me over a decade to find another who was anywhere near as competent. He even allowed me to pick his brain as a non-patient until he was transferred out of the area. Wonderful doc, and I still miss him.

Had an emergency open chest 4 way bypass within days of seeing another doctor after 2 1/2 years of going to you.

this guy got me hooked on OxyContin when I never wanted them. All he does is give you meds and send you off for tests, after 2 years I went elsewhere and got immediate results and weaned off the OxyContin. I have heard rumors that that is also why he got fired from the VA

Misdiagnosed 3 times over a couple of years, and sent off for tests that were not related to what was bothering me. cost me a lot of money traveling to san Francisco for those tests along with missing work. Had to go elsewhere as he got real defensive about misdiagnosing me when I tried to resolve the problem. I have since heard a lot of bad about him from other veterans. I think he is just lazy so he just sends you off for tests so he can get out of work.
