Dr. Rodrigo Xavier Menchaca, MD

I was in the ER where Dr. Rodrigo Menchaca was the physician on duty. He came into my room twice. The first time he was in the room briefly and he didn't introduce himself. The second time he came into my room, I had just finally gotten cleaned up after having to sit in my own menstrual blood since I couldn't get out of bed alone. I had finally put on a clean gown and was trying to apply a clean menstrual pad and panties when Dr. Menchaca entered my room and refused to leave. I had just put the pad on my underwear, so I asked the Dr. to wait outside a moment so I could finish applying a menstrual product. He refused and I again asked him to leave for a moment so I could put on a pad and stop bleeding down my legs. He again refused to leave and said, "I wasn't the only patient there." I told him that I never claimed to be the only person there. He then yelled that I can't remove my o2 monitor (I hadn't). Then he pointed to the bloody clothes that were sitting on the foot of my bed… (I had nowhere else to put them since they were bloody) and said that I could just leave if I wanted to leave. He was extremely agitated and kept shouting, and I told him to calm down. He stormed out of the room after he was done yelling, and I luckily didn't see him again. I told several nurses and a staff member about Dr. Menchaca being extremely inappropriate and sexually harassing me, but most of them didn't even haverespond, much less do anything to stop him. Dr. Menchaca is extremely unprofessional and his sexual harassment while I was supposed to be under his care is beyond abhorrent. I hope this man is never allowed to do this to anyone again. Dr. Menchaca showed no basic decency with me, and I would never let this man around anyone I care about.
